Child Passenger Seat Installations Description: In a partnership with Safe Kids of Cobb, Cobb Fire provides this service to the general public. This service insures the safe and proper installation of Child passenger s seats and restraint systems. Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services (continued) Fire Extinguisher Use Description: Staff is available to instruct in the basic use and care/maintenance for fire extinguishers in the workplace and commercial establishments. 2

Fire Warden Program Description: Provides training on fire safety in the workplace. Upon request, representatives are trained as fire wardens. Fire wardens inspect their work spaces for hazards, assist in evacuations and provide personnel accountability following evacuations. Fireplace Safety Description: Gives instruction on basic fireplace safety for businesses and homes. Staff will respond upon request for an appointment to inspect and give recommendations. Home Fire Safety Inspection Description: Provides this service to Cobb County residents. This is an opportunity to develop evacuation plans, point out hazards and educate the home owner on fire safety. Senior Citizen Fire Safety Program Description: This program encourages people ages 50-plus to practice fire safe behavior when cooking, smoking and heating their homes. It also stresses the importance of maintaining smoke alarms and designing and practicing a fire escape plan. Cobb County Police Department, Community Education Dept. Crime Prevention Programs Description: Provides information pertaining to all aspects of personal and property protection from the criminal element. Programs can be generic in nature or technically directed for a particular organization or business. Commercial risk analysis also provided for individual businesses. High Tech Crimes Unit Description: The Unit provides education to parents and follow-up investigation regarding computerbased crimes and internet crimes.
