Operating principle: In the central heating system, hot water is heated by any energy generator (fossil, regenerative or a combination). Heated to a set temperature, the hot water is stored in a buffer tank and, if necessary, reaches the individual apartments via the heating circuits. This means that each user can control the room temperature individually at any time of the year. Consumption can be accurately measured thanks to heat meters. In this case, the loop installation supplies the tapping points not in series, but rather from both sides in a ring formation. This ensures that the entire pipeline network is flushed as soon as water is taken from the pipelines at any point in the installation. Thus, stagnation is virtually impossible under normal use.
