10 SOLID STATE ILLUMINATED RAIL IVR2-RPS V-Rail Remote Power Supply The IVR2-RPS utilizes a 24V Class 2 remote power supply and offers a minimalist design. The IVR2-RPS posts are a slim 2 diameter and the wall brackets feature a robust architectural style. Regardless of the mounting option, the illuminated V-Rail light sections continue to use the same high performance LED and optical system offered in the current V-Rail IVR2 series. The IVR2-RPS is UL wet location listed and meets IP66 specifications. For emergency lighting, Intense Lighting offers inverter systems to supply back up power for up-to 90 minutes. Electrical Installation The V-Rail IVR2-RPS is a safe 24V Class 2 system that utilizes a remote power supply with universal 120-277V input. Also available is a 347V power supply for Canadian projects. Multiple power supply options are available depending on the application and location of the rail system. Since every V-Rail project is custom, the in-house V-Rail product specialist will coordinate the placement and locations for all remote power supplies. Intense lighting supplies all electronic components and connectors. UL listed waterproof wire nuts secure the wiring connection within the rail. Dimming is possible with additional wiring requirements. SOLID STATE ILLUMINATED RAIL 11 Post Mount The IVR2-RPS post mount was designed to install on a level surface and is ideal for new installation or retrofits. Mounting base requires three anchors with a bolt circle diameter of 3 9/16. Standard height options include 36 and 42. Post mounts accept 1/2 conduit in and out through the base. An anchor template is available by contacting Intense lighting. Remote Power Supply Intense lighting offers a variety of remote power supplies with a maximum wattage of 300W per enclosure. Multiple voltage inputs are supported including 120-277V and 347/480V. All power supplies within the enclosure are pre-wired at the factory with a push-in wire terminal block for easy connectivity. In addition, Intense also offers surface mount wet location power supplies without an enclosure for areas that are confined or restricted for space. All equipment is cul listed. Embedded Mount Embedded mount is recommended for installations with ramps or angled surfaces. Installation of the embedded mount requires the post to be embedded into cored concrete hole and secured with Rockite. Embedded mount may be used for new construction or retrofit installation. Wall Mount Secured to the wall by anchors, the IVR2-RPS wall mount is ideal for installation when a wall or vertical surface is present. Conduit feed is wired through the wire way passage in the wall bracket. A drilling template is available by contacting Intense lighting. 14 SOLID STATE ILLUMINATED RAIL ADAPTABLE BY DESIGN Component Assembly V-Rail is a modular system designed to allow for flexibility during the installation process. Illuminated rails are offered at three pre-designated lengths and are cut in the field to the exact measurement required. The final construction of the rail is then assembled utilizing a very high strength adhesive to join the parts. Bonding adhesive is included with each V-Rail system. The bonding process is as follows. 1. Adhesive is applied to the female connection of the joint. 2. Join the rail to coupling rotating 180 to evenly distribute adhesive. 3. A photometric layout will be provided if requested. Once an order is placed, Intense lighting will provide detailed shop drawings for approval.
