Salisbury Assessment Solutions Compliance OSHA 29 CFR 1910 SUBPART S and 1926 SUBPART K Electrical Paragraph (e) of 1910.303 requires employers to mark electrical equipment with descriptive markings, including the equipment's voltage, current, wattage, or other ratings as necessary. Additionally, in 1910.335(b), OSHA requires employers to use alerting techniques (safety signs and tags, barricades, and attendants)... To warn and protect employees from hazards which could cause injury due to electric shock, burns or failure of electric equipment parts. NFPA 70 - National Electric Code 110.16 Flash Protection. Electrical equipment, such as switchboards, panelboards, industrial control panels, meter socket enclosures, and motor control centers, that are in other than dwelling occupancies, and are likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized shall be field marked to warn qualified persons of potential electric arc flash hazards. 5

Salisbury Assessment Solutions Compliance NFPA 70-E - Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace 130.5 Arc Flash Hazard Analysis. An arc flash hazard analysis shall determine the arc flash boundary, the incident energy at the working distance, and the personal protective equipment that people within the arc flash boundary shall use. The arc flash hazard analysis shall be updated when a major modification or renovation takes place. It shall be reviewed periodically, not to exceed 5 years, to account for changes in the electrical distribution system that could affect the results of the arc flash hazard analysis. The arc flash hazard analysis shall take into consideration the design of the overcurrent protective device and its opening time, including its condition of maintenance. 6

NECA & Salisbury Partnership Benefits History - Salisbury has been a platinum level partner for the NJATC since the inception of the program. Salisbury recently finalized an agreement with the NJATC/NECA/ IBEW for 5 years and $750,000. Continues to work closely in supporting NECA and the IBEW. NECA Benefits - Salisbury Assessment Solutions will bring revenue opportunities to you for data collection and label installation - Working with Salisbury Assessment Solutions opens up the opportunity for additional leads SAS does not maintain, update or replace any electrical gear. Therefore in the audit or throughout the assessment, if there is any electrical work that needs to be completed, this will be NECA revenue. 8

NECA & Salisbury Partnership Benefits Salisbury Assessment Solutions Benefits - Salisbury Assessment Solutions will utilize its large network to bring opportunities to NECA contractors for data collection and label installation. For NECA contractors who do not have in-house engineering, Salisbury Assessment Solutions can offer the engineering portion to complete the overall assessment for your customer allowing you to offer a turn-key solution to some of your key customers. More revenue opportunities exist in circumstances where the audit or assessment indicates maintenance, upgrades and new equipment is needed. SAS does not offer these services, so this is another great opportunity to become further entrenched with these customers. 9

Survey NECA and Salisbury by Honeywell Partnership Interest - Please take the time to fill out the brief survey regarding your interest in this partnership. 10

Conclusion NECA Contractors - SAS would like to create a list of NECA contractors that can perform data collection and label installation for opportunities that SAS will bring to you from all across the country. NECA Contractor Relationships - We understand there are many close relationships with end users and SAS would like to help you grow these relationships. - If you are a NECA contractor that can perform data collection and label installation, SAS can partner with you to perform the engineering services to provide a turn key solution and keep your customer in compliance.
