READ SAFETY DIRECTIONS BEFORE OPENING OR USING 47 ACTIVE CONSTITUENT: 190 g/l TRIFORINE SOLVENTS: 238 g/l DIMETHYL FORMAMIDE 238 g/l N-METHYL PYRROLIDONE GROUP C FUNGICIDE A fungicide for use as a foliar spray and a post harvest dip as listed in the DIRECTIONS FOR USE table. Control of Brown Rot and Blossum Blight in stone fruit, Black Spot and Powdery Mildew in pears and a range of diseases in ornamentals Systemic activity - absorbed into the fruit and blossums Ideal for use as a foliar spray and a post harvest dip Safe for use on a variety of horticultural crops Activity against a wide range of diseases

48 DIRECTIONS FOR USE Restraints: DO NOT use a wetting agent as this may cause excessive run-off. NOTE: Triforine is a Group C fungicide. To prevent /delay the onset of resistance to DMI fungicides, use no more than four DMI sprays alone per season. TREE AND VINE CROPS (Pre-harvest) In the following table, all rates are given for dilute spraying. For concentrate spraying, refer to the Application section CROP Apples (Do NOT apply to Golden Delicious or Cox s Orange Pippin) Peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, prunes DISEASE Powdery mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha) Black spot (scab) (Venturia spp.) Blossom blight (Monilinia spp.) Brown rot (Monilinia spp.) STATE All States QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA only QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA and WA only NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA only QLD only 120mL/100L 75mL/100L 100 ml/100 L For all uses in this Tree and Vine Crop table: Apply by dilute or concentrate spraying equipment. Apply the same total amount of product to the target crop whether applying this product by dilute or concentrate spraying methods. Apply in a control program at 10-14 day intervals. Apply as an eradicant within 72 hours of start of infection period or in conjunction with Spore Warning Services. If conditions favour black spot the protective cover schedule eg. mancozeb, should be renewed after 5-7 days. Do NOT use on canning peach varieties intended for the fresh fruit market within one week of harvest. Apply at early blossom, early petal and shuck fall. Apply 3 sprays at 5, 3 and 1 week before harvest in addition to sprays against blossom blight. Apply 2 sprays 3 to 4 weeks and 1 to 2 weeks before harvest TREE AND VINE CROPS (Post-harvest) Cherries CROP Peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, prunes DISEASE Brown rot (Monilinia fructicola, Monilinia laxa) STATE SA, WA only NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA only QLD only 75mL/100L 75mL/100L Dip with the recommended rate for 30 seconds to ensure thorough wetting as soon as practical after harvest. Top up dip with the recommended rate of SAPROL. Renew the dip after 48 hours.

NON-TREE AND VINE CROPS 49 CROP DISEASE STATE Chrysanthemums (Do NOT apply to Shoesmith types or Cultivar Rivalry) White rust (Puccinia horiana) Do NOT spray when plants are in bloom. Apply spray thoroughly until run-off occurs. Contact the Department of Agriculture for information on control programs and resistant/susceptible cultivars. NSW, ACT, WA only Apply as part of a 7 day interval control program in combination with, and alternating with, sprays of other protective fungicides. Roses Black spot (Diplocarpon rosae), Powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca pannosa), Rust (Phragmidium mucronatum) VIC, TAS only NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA only 150mL/100L 130mL/100L During stages of vegetative growth, apply as part of a control program in combination with, and alternating with, sprays of other protective fungicides. Apply sprays at 7 day intervals. When disease occurs in the crop, apply over the last 4 weeks of flower initiation as an alternative spray with bitertanol. Apply at 7 day intervals. Apply at intervals of 7-10 days while conditions favour diseases. NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION. WITHHOLDING PERIODS: APPLES: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 1 DAY AFTER APPLICATION

50 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING GROUP C FUNGICIDE SAPROL is a member of the DMI group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management the product is a Group C fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to the product and the other Group C fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by this product or other Group C fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Summit Agro Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant fungi. MIXING It is essential that SAPROL Fungicide be added slowly in a fine stream over a period of 1-2 minutes to required amount of water in a high turbulence area of the spray or dip vat, with the agitator system running to full capacity. If turbulent agitation cannot be achieved in the vat, SAPROL should be added slowly to the water stream emitted from the vat filling hose with the spray or dip vat agitator system running to full capacity. Thoroughly mix before adding any other materials. Keep the agitator system running continuously and use within 3 hours. If SAPROL is to be sprayed on consecutive days with the same equipment, the spray vat should be thoroughly rinsed at the end of the day. APPLICATION TREE AND VINE CROPS Pre-harvest Dilute spraying Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes of water up to the point of run-off and matched to the crop being sprayed. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy. Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off. Avoid excessive run-off. The required water volume may be determined by applying different test volumes using different settings on the sprayer, from industry guidelines or expert advice. Add the amount of product specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100 L of water. Spray to the point of run-off. The required dilute spray volume will change and the sprayer set up and operation may also need to be changed as the crop grows. Concentrate spraying Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is a sprayer which applies water volumes less than those required to reach the point of run-off) and matched to the crop being sprayed. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water volume. Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume (See Dilute Spraying above) for the crop canopy. This is needed to calculate the concentrate mixing rate. The mixing rate for concentrate spraying can then be calculated in the following way:

EXAMPLE ONLY Dilute spray volume as determined above: For example 1500 L/ha Your chosen concentrate spray volume: For example 500 L/ha The concentration factor in this example is: 3 X (i.e. 1500 L + 500 L = 3) If the dilute label rate is 120 ml/100 L, then the concentrate rate becomes 3 x 120, that is 360 ml/100 L of concentrate spray. The chosen spray volume, amount of product per 100 L of water, and the sprayer set up and operation may need to be changed as the crop grows. For further information on concentrate spraying, users are advised to consult relevant industry guidelines, undertake appropriate competency training and follow industry Best Practices. For concentrate application, use a spray volume of at least 200 litres per hectare. ROSES AND CHRYSANTHEMUMS Apply as a dilute spray only. Use sufficient water to thoroughly wet all aerial surfaces of the plant. COMPATIBILITY After SAPROL has been thoroughly mixed, the following products may be added to the spray or dip vat: Gusathion, Torque, propargite 300, Calibre 100EC, chlorpyrifos, methomyl, mancozeb and parathion. A mixture of SAPROL Fungicide with more than one of these products, or any other products, is not recommended, as damage may result, and such use would therefore be at the user s own risk. CAUTION High volume application under slow drying conditions has resulted in ringburn of some apple varieties. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT Do NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the product or used containers. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated. Do NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should NOT be burnt. 51 DIP DISPOSAL Unused or spent dip should be disposed of carefully to avoid contamination of streams, rivers or waterways. Dispose of dip by contacting an approved waste disposal facility for removal, or by chemical pre-treatment and biodegradation, prior to disposal in a suitable disposal pit. Add at least 10kg of hydrated lime for every 1000L of dipping solution. Allow sufficient time to allow the reaction to proceed before pumping out the dip.

52 SAFETY DIRECTIONS Harmful if swallowed. May irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do NOT inhale spray mist. When preparing and using the spray, wear elbow length butyl rubber gloves and face shield. If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking and smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day s use, wash gloves, face shield and contaminated clothing. FIRST AID If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131126. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.
