7 New business park 2009 ECO DISTRICT «HYPHEN» More than 3 000 new diverse housing units in an enhanced living environment with development projects by sub-sectors taking into account the immediate environment and the requalification/ creation of new animated public spaces One requirement : rebuilt the city on itself optimizing local resources and all existing services and limiting the impacts inherent to urban development Strengthening the performance of new buidings Extension of the urban heating network powered by geothermal energy New storm water treatment Functional mixity to reduce transport use Improvement of public transport, pedestrian areas and cyclist lanes for a better space sharing 80 hectares to unify the city Eco district
8 2009 ECO DISTRICT «HYPHEN» Eco-district Foch-Roosevelt, place where the urban heating network could be reused : 80% of the 3 500 housing unit equivalents. More than half Meaux s housing stock connected to the geothermal heat network. Geothermal energy represents more than 60% of the energy mix.
