Presenters: Mr. Nobuyuki Tomita, Planning and Engineering Team, Trunkline Dept, Pipeline Business Unit, Osaka Gas Mr. Sakae Saito, Operation & Maintenance Team, Pipeline & Facilities Engineering Dept., Pipeline Business Unit, Osaka Gas 2. Re-inspection Intervals for Gas Transmission Network Based on a pipeline corrosion degradation approach and its own feedback related to inspection records, this paper shows how GRTgaz managed to justify its own reinspection intervals. This innovative approach may be considered as generic and can be used by any TSO in order either to justify or define its own re-inspection intervals, while ensuring a high level of safety/integrity of the transmission network. Mr. Samir Akel, GRTgaz-FRANCE 3. Keeping the Pipeline Safety: GRTGaz Methodology and Tool for Environmental Survey and Risk Assessment Safety measures have to be defined by the operator to reduce either the severity or the probability of a potential accident. In order to respond to this issue, an inhouse software has been developed, based on Geographical Information System that enables GRTgaz to perform environmental survey in the pipelines vicinity as well as risk calculation and additional safety measures definition as required by the French regulation and professional standards. Mr. Gilles Chatelet, GRTgaz-FRANCE 4. Comprehensive philosophy and Proven Practices for Underground Gas Storage integrity management Safety and environmental protection is a key point for a reliable underground gas storage (UGS) industry and a strong requirement of stake-holders to gain or maintain license to operate industrial facilities. On the other hand, the storage business is suffering a difficult period, especially in Europe, and the operators want to improve the lifetime of their existing assets. To combine the two objectives, a pragmatic approach based on what we learnt from decades of operation of hundreds of UGS facilities and thousands gas wells in the world, has been developed by Storengy. After an overview of the general context and the requirements of underground gas storage (UGS) facilities integrity management with a special focus on European situation, the philosophy and practices of Storengy, a reference storage operator, are presented. Ms. Helene Giouse, Technical Advisor of Operation Line for STORENGY/ENGIE 5. Prevention of Rollover in LNG Storage Tanks Mr. Vincent Demoury, GIIGNL
