HARROGATE
HARROGATE Sophisticated hand painted kitchen with granite work-surfaces and oak preparation block This Harrogate kitchen is a great blend of country and town living, with co-ordinated cooking, storage, food preparation and breakfast bar areas. Painted in Little Greene Ceviche and Adventurer, with River White granite work-surfaces, the complimentary Little Greene paints used are accentuated through the use of chrome knobs from the new Sarah Beeny range. The large oak end grain chopping block is set over a drum cabinet at the end of a generous kitchen island, with room for friends to watch the cooking display or hungry children to breakfast. A large canopy feature covers the cooking area, with the same granite used as a full height splashback behind the induction hob. Other Neff appliances, including the American fridge freezer, are contained within a breakfront run of cabinets. www.treskekitchens.co.uk
RICHMOND
RICHMOND Arts & Crafts style oak kitchen with Corian work-surfaces and Miele appliances Designed and made in an Arts & Crafts style, this oak framed and panelled kitchen has been designed to provide large areas of working surfaces while optimising storage. The use of timber to create useful and visually effective storage within this kitchen was paramount, with the resultant strong lines broken by glazed and recessed display cupboards as well as a mantle concealing the extractor over the induction hob. Miele appliances are used within the tall bank of units, while other doors hide the dishwasher and full height fridge. The Arts & Crafts design is enhanced by the use of feature pilasters with a hand carved lily inspired by Lindsay Butterfield s block printed linen designs. The Corian work-surface is seamlessly moulded around the shape of the counters, as well as right up to the underside of the cupboards, creating a full height splashback upon which are mounted the electrical and lighting switches. www.treskekitchens.co.uk
WETHERBY
Designed and made in a contemporary framed and painted Shaker style, full-length folding doors unify the inside kitchen and outside garden space. The central focal point of the island has under-rail LED lighting around the plinth to provide subtle lighting during evenings for this cool, perch dining area. The main cabinet wall contains an American style fridge freezer and Miele appliances. The sink area has a mirror fitted behind the sink reflecting the garden space making this kitchen very difficult to photograph! A larder cupboard with carved lettering detail on the drawers, a cool granite worktop, and curved shelves for easy access provides balance to the wall cabinetry and was designed especially for this kitchen. The kitchen was hand painted in a Farrow and Ball Plummett, but some feature drawer fronts were left with a clear finish over the wood. Stainless steel knobs and cup handles extend the reflection of a modern contemporary feel to this traditional and well designed kitchen. DANBY
DANBY Painted Shaker style kitchen and utility with Iroko feature breakfast bar, cornice and plinths A beautiful, subtly designed painted kitchen and utility made in a plain Shaker style with American walnut used as a contrasting feature timber on the cornice and plinths. The full height storage conceals a fridge and additional storage within this spacious kitchen. The ovens are mounted under the River White granite work-surface and are directly facing the island end that contains cookbook shelving. The granite extends around the corner induction hob and its extractor, sweeping gracefully and creating a large working area around the sink. A wall cupboard and freestanding dresser with glazed display doors are also incorporated into the design. The island also has a matching granite surface, but a wood surface inset into the granite defines the breakfast bar and eating area. www.treskekitchens.co.uk
STOKESLEY
STOKESLEY Traditional oak framed kitchen with a painted island and breakfast bar The gentle curves and traditional craftsmanship combined with excellent design make for a practical and beautiful kitchen. The kitchen layout is spacious but with a large amount of well organised storage in both the painted island and oak kitchen cabinets. The supporting central structural beam was a key design component, leading to the incorporation of curves and smooth edges to complement its circular column. The sink looks over the garden and has easy access to cutlery drawers and the Miele dishwasher. The Falcon cooker is set forward from the back of the original chimney to give practical work-surfaces to each side. The space behind the cooker is fully utilised by the creation of a granite ledge. On the right hand side of the cooker the surface was trimmed back to a standard worktop depth using a series of curves and curved cabinets. The island top is split into a work area with easy access to the sink and fridge, and a breakfast bar area. The carefully chosen Kashmir White granite of the work area has a generous round chopping board inserted adjacent to the sink and cooker to allow easy food preparation. A freestanding bin is located below the chopping board. The island is painted in Little Greene Bone China, to contrast the oak used in the rest of the kitchen. www.treskekitchens.co.uk
BEDALE
BEDALE Feature burr oak kitchen with granite worktops and wrought iron handles The double AGA and companion gas oven and hob puts a smile on the face of anyone who likes home baking. High mantles, bespoke cabinetry and drying racks give this kitchen a warm homely feel and the ceramic pot sink adds an interesting design feature, contrasting well with the deep Ubatuba granite. This traditional Yorkshire design, with framed panelled doors in burr oak, features a curved island unit which invites footfall from the lobby of the house into the kitchen. Storage includes plate racks, book shelves, a hidden pantry, doors concealing the freestanding fridge and freezer, and a range of deep and shallow drawers making this kitchen as practical as it is handsome. From the mantle over the AGA (which matches one on a fireplace elsewhere in the room) and a handmade freestanding dresser with display lighting, to the solid beech dovetailed drawers and Crofts and Assinder wrought iron handles, every aspect of the client s brief was fulfilled to make this the perfect workplace and appropriate setting for a happy cook. www.treskekitchens.co.uk
HELMSLEY
The classic feel of this kitchen complements the owner s period house perfectly. The much loved family AGA was given a companion in the form of a convenient induction hob inset into the kitchen island. This beautiful and practical kitchen was designed for a new extension sun room with a central ceiling lantern. A large central island placed exactly below the lantern, accommodates many appliances and the Belfast sink. The lightness of the kitchen was further enhanced with a travertine floor. Around the cream, four-oven AGA is a substantial bold pippy oak corbelled over-mantle that incorporates bespoke storage cupboards. A preparatory sink to the right side of the AGA, and a wine rack finish the run. The positioning of the handmade bespoke mantle and island give the kitchen a focal point, balance and symmetry. NORTHALLERTON
Designed for a large extension that also houses the communal dining and relaxation areas of the house, this kitchen was made to reflect the open plan nature of the family living space and use of natural light. Within the open plan design, height is used at both the breakfast bar and opposite, behind the induction hob, to provide a definition of where the kitchen sits, as distinct from, but linked to the dining area, home office and snug areas of this large space. Shaker style doors and panels, painted white with walnut detailing from the handles and in key revealed spaces such as within the larder cupboard and breakfast bar, give a pleasing contrast within the room. The main appliances, cooking and storage takes place within a run of tall cabinets, while breakfast is on the island. The level of storage within the kitchen is superb, and the design is softened through the use of radius corner posts. YORK
As with many houses this kitchen is a key family space, that needs to cater for entertaining as well as family meals. The kitchen is predominantly painted in white but the colour of the aubergine AGA is used to pick out the framing of the large surface mounted cupboard that contains the coffee maker and toaster. The family breakfasts can be tidied up fast! Relaxing has been made special with a cocktail bar designed to fit into an otherwise awkward corner. The mirrored back to the shelving accentuates the collection of cocktail glasses, a handy wine cooler is set within the same area. The work-surface granite chosen was Colonial Cream which is used around the kitchen and also under the folding door larder cupboard. The work-surfaces are completed with an end grain chopping board set opposite the AGA for food preparation. YORK An individual kitchen for the practical chef and entertainer www.treskekitchens.co.uk

The four oven AGA sits under a bowed flat mantle pierced by curved uprights with stainless steel set into the solid wood. Either side of the AGA are worksurfaces for which a leathered effect was used on Cosmic Black granite, bringing out the contrasting crystal colours of the granite.
