Check ongoing validity of certification on-line: www.eurovent-certification.com GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS FRIGO TURBO FL: Water cooled liquid chillers for chilled water production equipped with oil-free centrifugal compressors and flooded evaporator The machines are made for indoor installation. Framework with sections of thick steel for high resistance to the greatest stress during handling and transport. Machines supply fully assembled with refrigerant charge and control systems. The installation requires only electrical and hydraulic connections allowing costs and time savings. Final assembly on all machines before shipment including running test, reading and monitoring of operating parameters, alarms simulation and visual check. Design, assembly and test as per the Company Quality Assurance program in full compliance with ISO 9001. RC Group has been the first Italian company in its segment to get the ISO 9001 in October 13 th, 1991 with certificate ICIM 0018. Environmental Management System Certification according to ISO 14001:2004. The machines are in full compliance with European Directives 2006/42CE, 2006/95CE, 2004/108CE, 97/23CE and subsequent amendments. ANTIFREEZE MIXTURES EVAPORATOR HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT Machines can work with antifreeze mixtures although not necessary, because the machines do not accept outlet temperature of the liquid cooled below 4 C, the use of glycol mixture is a generic antifreeze protection, for machines not in operation during the winter season. CONDENSER HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT In case of heat exhaustion through a close hydraulic circuit on a dry cooler, is mandatory to load the circuit with antifreeze mixture. The choice of glycol percentage may be based on the following table: Freezing point [ C] % Ethylene glycol volume % Propylene glycol volume -10 24 27-20 36 39-30 46 49 STORING TEMPERATURE If the machine is not installed on receipt and is stored for a long time, store it in a protected place, at temperatures ranging between -30 C and 50 C in absence of superficial condensation and direct sun light. 5

COMPONENTS FRAMEWORK Base and self supporting frame in steel plate with protective surfaces treatment in compliance with UNI ISO 9227/ASTMB117 and ISO 7253, and painted with epoxy powders. Colour: RAL 9002 COMPRESSORS Twin-turbine centrifugal compressor, oil-free type, optimized for R134a refrigerant. The term "oil-free" refers to the total absence of lubricating oil within the compressor. Magnetic levitation bearings. Manometric compression ratio: 1.5 5.0 Stepless capacity control trough integrated inverter. High efficiency permanent-magnet synchronous motor with integrated Soft-Start system (starting current limited to 5A). Water tubes with a helical rifled internal surface. Integrated liquid drop separator. Shell, header, tube sheets made of carbon steel, tubes in Cu. Anticondensate insulation made of polyurethane. Large liquid level indicator. Temperature sensors on water inlet and outlet. Water flow switch for water flow control on water outlet towards the plant, not installed but supplied in kit. Hydraulic connections with grooved end supplied as standard with flexible joint and adapter pipe to be welded. CONDENSER Shell and tube 2-passes condenser optimized for R134a refrigerant. - Machine type P4: 4-passes condenser. Shell, header, tube sheets made of carbon steel, tubes in Cu. Hydraulic connections with grooved end supplied as standard with flexible joint and adapter pipe to be welded. From model 280 T1 to model 560 T2 included the connections are supplied in mounting kit. Installation to be made by the customer. REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT Components for each refrigerant circuit: Capacitive level sensor connected to the driver of the expansion valve. Electronic expansion valve that allows high performance and system efficiency and for the refrigerant level control in the evaporator. Electronic by-pass valve for compressor start. Non return valve on by-pass line for compressor start. Sight glass. Filter dryer on liquid line. Service valve on liquid line. Service valve on gas suction and discharge. Non return valve on gas suction. Safety valve on low pressure side. Safety valve on high pressure side. Pressure transducers with indication, control and protection functions, on low and high refrigerant pressure. High pressure safety switch with manual reset. Refrigerant circuit with copper tubing with anticondensate insulation of the suction line. Plastic capillary hoses for pressure sensors connection. R134a refrigerant charge. 6

ELECTRICALPANEL In accordance with EN60204-1 norms, suitable for indoor installation, complete with: Main switch with door lock safety. Fuses for compressors. Contactors for compressors. Transformer for auxiliary circuit and microprocessor supply. Panel with machine controls. Power supply 400/3/50. CONTROL SYSTEM Microprocessor system with Touch Screen graphic display for control and monitor of operating and alarms status. The system includes: - Voltage free contact for remote general alarm. - Main components hour-meter. - Recording of the last 24 occurred alarms. - Non-volatile Flash memory for data storage. - Menu with protection password. HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS OF HEAT EXCHANGERS The heat exchangers threaded hydraulic connections are available up to a diameter of 2,5 " included, and correspond to ISO 228/1 G M. The pipes threaded hydraulic connections are available up to a diameter of 2,5" included, and correspond to ISO 7/1 R. The hydraulic connections with grooved end are supplied as standard with flexible joint and adapter pipe to be welded. The hydraulic connections with flange (FL) are supplied with counter flange and kit for flexible joint. The kit includes the flexible joint and two adapter pipes to be welded. 7

OTHER ACCESSORIES Isolation mounts: RC GROUP recommends installing the machine on continued support, for example rubber slab. Rubber shock absorbers, not installed. Spring supports are not allowed. Compressor soundproof cap for a noise reduction of about 3 db(a). Analog flowmeter (0 1V / 4-20mA) for evaporator s water flow measurement and display. MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL SYSTEM The microprocessor controls the machine guaranteeing on the one hand a precise and punctual temperature regulation, on the other hand integrating the safety functions relative to all fluid-dynamic circuits.the microprocessor controls the outlet temperatures of the chilled water through two set parameters, xk1 e xk2, as outlet temperatures from the evaporators, with possible remote commutation through voltage free contact. In any case, the microprocessor will modulate the electric input to the compressors motors to guarantee the maximum temperature precision in respect of the working range allowed by the centrifugal compressors. For multi-compressor units, for any working condition, the control will cleverly manage the number of compressors to be activated in a combined optics of safety and energy saving. Dedicated apps for Android and ios operative systems are available for the mobile network access.
