Resetting of safety thermostats, circuit breakers, overload protectors, or fuse replacements. 2. All problems due to operation at voltages other than specified on equipment nameplates - conversion to correct voltage must be the customer s responsibility. 3. All problems due to electrical connections not made in accordance with electrical code requirements and wiring diagrams supplied with the equipment. 4. Replacement of items subject to normal wear, to include such items as knobs and light bulbs. Normal maintenance functions including adjustment of thermostats, microswitches, and replacement of fuses and indicating lights are not covered under warranty. 5. All problems due to inadequate water supply, such as fluctuating, or high or low water pressure. 6. All problems due to mineral/calcium deposits, or contamination from chlorides/chlorines. De-liming is considered a preventative maintenance function and is not covered by warranty. 7. Full use, care and manuals may or may not be sent with each unit, only a condensed version. All genuine Bloomfield replacement parts are warranted for ninety (90) days from date of purchase on non- warranted equipment. Any use of non-genuine Bloomfield parts completely voids any warranty. 11. Installation, labor and job checkouts are not considered warranty. 12. Charges incurred by delays, waiting time or operating restrictions that hinder the service technicians ability to perform services are not covered by warranty. This includes institutional and correctional facilities. SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS PROCEDURE NOTE: For your protection, please note that equipment in this shipment was carefully inspected and packaged by skilled personnel before leaving the factory. Upon acceptance of this shipment, the transportation company assumes full responsibility for its safe delivery. IF SHIPMENT ARRIVES DAMAGED: 1. VISIBLE LOSS OR DAMAGE: Be certain that any visible loss or damage is noted on the freight bill or express receipt, and that the note of loss or damage is signed by the delivery person. 2. FILE CLAIM FOR DAMAGE IMMEDIATELY: Regardless of the extent of the damage. 3. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: To enable the installer to make a quality installation and to minimize installation time, the following suggestions and tests should be done before the actual unit installation is started: CAUTION: EQUIPMENT DAMAGE DO NOT plug in or energize this appliance until all Installation Instructions are read and followed. Plug into the voltage that is on the nameplate, damage to the Brewer will occur if these instructions are not followed. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven NOTE: This equipment must be installed to comply with applicable federal, state and local plumbing codes and ordinances. : SHOCK HAZARD Brewer must be properly grounded to prevent possible shock hazard. Brew water to clean the water tank without a capsule in place for the first use or after a long period of time between use. Daily Use 1. Turn the Locker Knob to unlocked position; lift up the Lid Assembly to open. (Fig 1) 2. Pour the right amount of water into the water tank, the water should not exceed 12 oz (360ml) and no less than 3.4 oz (100ml) (Fig 2) 3. Put a Capsule into the Capsule Chamber (Fig 2) and press it down until it snaps. 4. Close the Lid Assembly and turn the Locker knob to the Locked position 5. Place cup on the Drip Tray Cover. Please make sure that the middle of the cup is under the Coffee Outlet. (Fig 3) *Remove drip tray to adjust the height of the Cup (please see FEATURES on page 1) 6. Plug into the power supply and press the power button to turn on the machine. The indicator light will flash as the boiler heats up. After heating, the water is pumped out and the light will keep flashing until the end of brewing. 7. The machine s power is cut off automatically after brewing. 8. Power button has brew-interrupt feature, one push to stop, one to re-start. If brewing does not re-start and light flashes, water temperature is too hot. Wait one minute or add cold water to brew chamber, and re-start. 9. When completed, open the Lid Assembly, remove and discard the used capsule, close & lock Lid Assemlby. Caution: During normal working, don t open the Lid Assembly. 3
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION: SHOCK HAZARD Do not submerge or immerse brewer in water. IMPORTANT: DO NOT use steel wool, sharp objects, or caustic, abrasive or chlorinated cleansers to clean the brewer. PROCEDURE: Clean Coffee Brewer PRECAUTIONS: Disconnect brewer from electric power. Allow brewer to cool. FREQUENCY: TOOLS: Daily Mild Detergent, Clean Soft Cloth or Sponge Bristle Brush. To clean the outside of the brewer: 1. Unplug the machine and let it cool down before cleaning. 2. Use a clean damp cloth to clean all outside surfaces. Do not use harsh abrasives to clean. 3. When cleaning the Capsule Chamber, you can take out and rinse the coffee outlet periodically (please see the Fig.2, 3), place cup on the Drip tray Cover, and then pour some water to the Capsule Chamber to clean it. * Please pay attention to the sealing around the coffee outlet, and don t forget to clean it. 4. Remove drip tray from the machine, and lift the cover off the drip tray. Wash all pieces with soap and water. To descale the inside of the brewer Unit: 1. Fill the water tank with 12oz water with household scale remover (ratio 4:1); you can also use citric acid with ratio 3%, then close the lid assembly, place the coffee cup on the drip tray, and press power button to descale the machine. 2. Empty and rinse the cup after finishing the step 1, please pour about 12oz. of water into water tank, and then press Power Button to implement rinsing process until the light is off. 3. TROUBLESHOOTING 1. If the indicator light keeps flashing fast when the cold machine is powered on the internal hardware is not working normally, please contact professional technician or local distributors for repair. 2. If the indicator light keeps flashing fast when the hot machine is powered on the system temperature is too high, wait for at least 1 minute to restart the machine, or pour some cold water into water tank and restart machine. 3. When less than 2 oz (60ml) of water is poured into water tank, the system may not detect it and remain in the high-temperature condition resulting in the water possibly not being pumped out. Pour at least 3.5 oz (100ml) water for next use. STORAGE 1. Please store the appliance out of reach of children. 2. Storage space should be dry and clean, no direct sun exposure and away from heat sources. MAINTENANCE & SERVICE 1.
