General safety instructions When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including: This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old. Always ensure the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the voltage in your home. Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician or a service repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team. The appliance is intended for domestic use only. Industrial or commercial use will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended use. Incorrect operation and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in anyway. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for examination 2

and / or repair by an authorised service agent. Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in water or any other liquid for any reason. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by someone who is suitably qualified to avoid a potential hazard. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the cord is not in a position where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near hot gas or electric burners or in a heated oven. Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is equal to or greater than the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over. Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not place the unit on a hot surface. Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket. Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in anyway. In case of damage, take the unit for 3

examination and or repair by an authorised service agent. The appliances surfaces will become hot during use, only use the plastic handles provided to flip the doughnut maker during use. Before first time use Remove all packaging material from the appliance. Clean the hot plates with a damp clean cloth and dry thoroughly. Grease the plates slightly with a small amount of cooking oil or butter. Note: The appliance may emit a little smoke and produce a slight odour when first used. This is normal and will disappear after the initial heating up process. Allow the appliance to heat for 10 minutes continuously to remove the substances left on by the manufacturing process. 4

Pre-heating the appliance Insert the appliances plug into the electrical outlet. The doughnut makers red light will now illuminate. Select the required baking temperature. Keep the hot plates In the closed position and allow the appliance to preheat for 5 minutes. When the green light appears the appliance is fully pre-heated. Apply a small amount of butter or oil to the surface of the hot plates. Baking 4. When the green light comes back on, check to see if the doughnuts are cooked. Remove the doughnuts using a non-metallic utensil. If you wish to darken the doughnuts a little more, leave the doughnuts on the heating plates for a little longer. 5. When the doughnuts are cooked, turn the appliance off and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Leave the appliance hot plates in the open position by sliding the stand clip across the appliance. 6. Clean the appliance according to the section Cleaning and maintenance. Pour the batter into the designated holes. The green light will now go on and off as the baking cycle begins. Close the heating hot plates so that the safety clip is securely locked on the heating plates. Do not re-open the hot plates until the green light appears on the appliance again. Halfway through the baking process, at around two and a half minutes, flip the lid of the doughnut maker by holding the folding handle. This will ensure that the appliance cooks the doughnuts evenly on both sides. Cleaning and maintenance Always switch off the appliance, unplug it from the electrical supply and allow it to cool before cleaning. Wipe off any excess crumbs and oil left on the appliance with a paper towel. Do not attempt to disassemble the appliance for cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance is not dishwasher safe. Never use metal utensils on the appliance as they will damage the nonstick coating of the surface. Only use plastic or wooden utensils. Wipe the top and bottom housing with a soft, clean and damp cloth. Do not attempt to clean with any abrasive scouring pads or steel wool as this will damage the finishing of the housing. Dry thoroughly before storing. You can use the clip on the base stand of the appliance to lock the plates in an upright position for easier storage. Simply place the plates in the upright position and push the clip in to lock. Pull the clip back out to unlock. In a different bowl whisk the milk and eggs together, carefully, then add It to the other ingredients. Add the mixture to the appliance and cook for two and a half minutes, before flipping and cooking for the same amount of time on the other side. Note: The doughnuts will not have the same texture as fried doughnuts, this is due to the doughnuts being baked and not fried. 75g 60ml 1tbsp 1 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp 7

Set aside 4 tbsp. of hazelnut spread. In a different bowl whisk the milk and eggs together, carefully, then add It to the other ingredients. Add half a tablespoon of doughnut dough to each doughnut hole, followed by hazelnut spread on top, then add a second layer of doughnut dough. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and add the sugar ensuring you stir it thoroughly. In a different bowl whisk the milk and eggs together, carefully, then add It to the other ingredients. Sprinkle a selection of sugar strands into the mixture and add to the doughnut maker. Cook for two and a half minutes, before flipping and cooking for a final two and a half minutes. Spoon the mixture into the Flip and Serve Doughnut Maker. Cook for 2 minutes and 15 seconds before flipping the appliance over. Cook for the same time on the other side. Mix together dry ingredients, expect carrot and almonds. Mix together wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Add carrot and almond. Pour onto dry ingredients and mix. Cook for two and a half minutes on one side, before flipping and cook for the same length of time on the other side. 9

Lemon and blueberry doughnuts Plain flour 75g Milk 60ml Blueberries 30g Lemon juice 2tbsp Egg 1 Caster sugar 1tbsp Melted butter 1 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Method Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and add the sugar ensuring you stir it thoroughly. In a different bowl whisk the milk and eggs together, carefully, then add It to the other ingredients. Squeeze the lemon juice into the mixture, add the blueberries and spoon into to the doughnut maker. Cook for two and a half minutes, before flipping and cooking for a final two and a half minutes. Electrical Information Always ensure the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the power supply where the product is being used. WARNING! This product must be connected to an earthed electrical power supply. The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the Earth terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connection. Precautions should be followed for safe cable management and connection to the power supply. If a new mains plug needs to be fitted follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician or appliance repair agent. Safely dispose of the old plug. Connect the brown lead to the live terminal L in the new plug. Connect the blue lead to the neutral N terminal. Connect the green/yellow lead to the earth E terminal.
