Major Ongoing Public Sector Development Projects in the Vicinity New Islamabad International Airport It is about 5km away from the Project site of B-17 and 2km from F-17. th It was inaugurated on 7 April, 2007 by the then President of Pakistan. Test flights have th landed on 15 March, 2012 and the Airport is likely to become functional in 2015. Construction of Margalla Avenue B-17 and F-17 Scheme are centrally located in Zone-II. Travel time from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila, Wah Cantt and Hassanabdal will be about 15 to 20 mints especially on implementation of the following projects: I. Margalla Avenue from Sector D-12 to B-17, GT Road (600 ft ROW). rd Inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan on 23 May, 2012 and is likely to complete in current year. Establishment of new Fruit and Vegetable Market with state of the art facilities has been planned by CDA in the adjacent area in Sector C-17 Islamabad near Sangjani.
