RCF GROUP Structure RCF S.p.A., founded in 1949, operates in the high quality professional and commercial audio market, offering a wide variety of products and systems to satisfy all sound needs. AEB Industriale s.r.l., founded in 1975, operates in the professional audio market with the brand db Technologies designing and manufacturing digital and electronic audio systems. SGM Technology for Lighting S.p.A., founded in 1975, is one of the leading companies in the field of entertainment and architectural lighting.
RCF History: at the forefront of the audio industry since 1949 RCF was created in 1949 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The first production, focused on highly advanced Ribbon Microphones designs, was soon followed in a natural progression by the design of innovative transducers technology. RCF transducers soon became legendary and they have been used by some very prominent speakers manufacturers worldwide. Meanwhile the Company extended its Commercial Audio line of products designing and delivering amplification systems for airports, railway stations, hotels, hospitals, theatres, shopping malls, schools, stadia and sport arenas. During the 1970 s and 1980 s RCF started the production of Car Audio systems and Hi-Fi speakers, some of them - such as the BR 40 - are still used today as a reference for their high sound quality. In 1996 the ART 300-A was one of the first two-way amplified portable speakers to be launched and quickly became a world-wide success positioning RCF as an international speaker manufacturer. From 1998 till the end of 2003 RCF was part of an American Group operating in the Audio Industry.
In January 2004 RCF started again as an independent Italian company. A completely new ART Series line of speakers was introduced on the market among the 4PRO Series, a line for sound reinforcement and small touring. In 2005 the RCFACUSTICA Installation Speaker Systems line was launched offering high definition audio solutions to system integrators and fixed installations. In 2006 the TT+ High Definition Touring and Theatre line was introduced gaining an immediate success and placing RCF in the top segment of high-end touring market. In 2007 the RCF Group, composed by RCF S.p.A. and AEB Industriale s.r.l. (which owns the brand db Technologies) was created and listed on the Italian Stock Exchange. In 2008 a new digital era began allowing the company to introduce new products lines such as ART 7 Series and NX Series. In 2009 there has been the introduction of the Mytho Studio Monitors Speakers and of the TTL55-A line array system for very large venues. During the year the company SGM Technology for Lighting became part of the RCF Group.
