ClimaFläkt Features Dual efficiencies/sound levels In order to meet all customer needs, most of our chillers are available with dual efficiency from Eurovent A class to Eurovent C class. Combined with multiple sound options ClimaFläkt chillers are able to fit to the most demanding requirements. Heat recovery Air-cooled and water-cooled units are available with partial and total heat recovery. Instead of rejecting heat the unit will be able to produce hot water for sanitary water and other purposes. Variable load Chillers in HVAC applications are generally required to operate most of the year at part load and for 90% of the time the load is less than 60% of the maximum design. The Fläkt Woods range of chillers are designed or high efficiency at part load as well as at peak load to minimise the overall annual energy consumption. Free cooling In many applications, cooling water is needed during periods of the year when the outdoor temperature is low. By installing a chiller with a free cooling circuit it is possible to cool the water without running the compressors, which saves a considerable amount of energy and reduces wear on them. Rotary Heat Exchangers As well as the recovery of heat from the exhaust air during the winter, rotary heat exchangers offer the benefit of total cooling energy recovery during the summer. The hygroscopic version of the rotary heat exchanger transfers both sensible energy and latent energymoisture. This is of particular interest in more humid climates and where it halfs the cooling demand. Coolmaster For the drier climate the CoolMaster system offers exceptionally good cooling using water evaporation in the exhaust air to cool the rotor and the supply air and can be used to reduce the chiller load. Econet Econet is a liquid coupled heat recovery system offering energy and space savings. Econet offers the possibility to utilize heat recovery from chillers to heat the ventilation air. The system can recover cooling from the exhaust air and can make use of cooled water to provide air cooling. Cooler and Recooler The Cooler is a thermodynamic heat recovery unit located in the air-handling unit. Heat rejection is done at the exhaust section of the air-handling unit and cooling in the fresh air section. Unit operation is always at very favourable conditions. The Recooler is a cooler that integrates an additional recovery wheel to enhance the efficiency even further. The Cooler/recooler is a factory ready module fully adapted to the Fläkt Woods air-handling range and are supplied complete and ready to run. The cooler is supplied with automation and control equipment and is factory tested. All that needs to be done on site is to connect the main supply, connect the temperature control signal and fit the drainage piping. Standardised models give assured function at a competitive price not to mention the time saved during design and installation! It is also very competitive when compared with other cooling systems. 7
