The services that we are providing affirms our faith and continues to give us the opportunity to make our own unique contribution to this community, our country and our world. During the recent Cluster III Conference, Madam Regional Director Sharon Brown Harriott reminded us that we cannot rest on our laurels because each day is remarkable in our program implementation. Tea Roses to the following committee Chairman, members and to each of you for your efforts in the planning and participation in the implementation of the following targets of our International Program, Launching New Dimensions of Service : Family Strengthening, Environmental Ownership, and Global Impact. Also, Tea Roses to the Scholarship Committee Chairman and members for your diligence and efforts in planning the Best Academy for all students in Duval County. Highlights of these events are captured in this issue of the Ivy Times. The members of the 2015 Nominating Committee and the Budget and Finance Committee have been working diligently in preparation for the November Chapter meeting. According to the Chapter s Bylaws, during the November Chapter meeting, you will have an opportunity to vote on the following: 2016 Proposed Budget, Slate of Officers, (4) Four Alpha Jax Foundation General Members, (2) Two Pan- Hellenic Council Representatives, (1) One Alternate and (3) Three General Members of the Corporation. Financial Committee The fiscal year for the sorority is January 1 through December 31. Based on our governing documents, sorors are not active at the January meeting if their dues have not been processed through the corporate office. Chapter Dues need to be paid in full by the December Chapter Meeting to remain financially active without a break in membership. Awards Committee Sorors who were initiated: In 1966 should apply for Golden Soror Status 50 years of membership In 1980 should apply for Silver Star Status 25 years of membership and Sorors who have attained 30 years of service with Gamma Rho Omega should apply for Chapter Life and Sorors who have attained 25 years of service with Gamma Rho Omega should apply for Chapter Pearl.

A soror who has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority for 50 years. and 1. A member of Gamma Rho Omega Chapter for 25 consecutive years.
