System Solutions
Locally manufactured to global standards HellermannTyton offers a tailor made String Combiner Box (SCB) manufacturing service. Based on the customer requirements HellermannTyton will design and manufacture the SCB according to internationally recognised Standards using approved components from local and international supplies. The process begins with the system design and the supply of Single Line Diagram and General Assembly drawing to the customer for approval. Following customer approval all approved safety products, switch gear and monitoring systems are installed in an IEC class II double insulated enclosure in an ISO TS 16949 approved facility. Each enclosure is then mechanically verified for correctness of components used as well as the fixing and torqueing of all connections. They are then functionally tested and where applicable measurement accuracy and data communication checked. And finally labelled and packed ready for shipment. The customer is delivered a fully tested and approved String Combiner Box ready for installation. HellermannTyton has experience in the design and manufacture of combiner boxes for embedded/rooftop application through to full Utility size PV plants where up to 600 combiner boxes were supplied with integrated string monitoring. In addition HellermannTyton has a comprehensive range of installation tools and test-and-measurement equipment designed specifically for PV. All comprehensive range of field tested cable protection and fastening products designed to withstand the harsh PV environment is available with many of these components manufactured in South Africa. All this is supported by a National Sales and Engineering team who are in turn reinforced by an international Engineering team with many years of PV experience ensuring optimal designs with quick turn-around time and immediate support. 1

Perfect Cable Solutions Edge Clip Designed specifically to route cables by securing them to a metal or plastic frame rail edge. Eliminate the need for mounting holes and mechanical fasteners Easy to secure and the extraction force is high because of an integrated metal clamp that holds the edge clip firmly in place. This in turn holds the cables, preventing chafing of the cable and ensuring long-term reliability.
