Lars Tornøe s 5th design for the Norwegian Furniture manufacturer Fora Form The Kvart table s possibilities are hidden in the sleek aluminium construction, enabling the table to fit in smaller interiors, as well as larger rooms allowing for wider tables. The base fits cables and other technological solutions making the meeting space clutter free. Kvarts name originates from the columns profile, heading in four directions, enabling both X- and T-base configurations. The tables goal was to combine effective production techniques with contemporary Norwegian design, to compete with the rising import of foreign products. The Kvart base is an imperative part of the design as well as the construction of the table. Lars Tornøe tells us. About the designer: Lars Tornøe Ten years after Lars Tonrøe graduated from his Master, at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, another exiting product is launched by the designer for the Norwegian furniture manufacturer Fora Form: The table Kvart. Since graduating Tornøe has designed for some of the world s largest furniture designers and his products are sold worldwide, even at the MoMA in NYC. Fora Form has five Tornøe designs in their collection: the Clint chair (in collaboration with Atle Tveit), the chairs Con and Copenhagen, as well as the tables Myk and now Kvart.
Root Design: Runa Klock Inspired by nature and the way tree roots form new shapes as they meet, designer Runa Klock, is launching her new table series Root for Fora Form. Roots are the stabilizing force for a tree and it s fascinating how elegant roots find new ways when meeting obstacles. That is what I set out to capture with the Root table series. By making the steel base square you get a better feeling of how the roots intertwine. says Runa Klock, a female Norwegian furniture designer, with close ties to nature. The table top is made from environmentally friendly Valchromat that is organically dyed, made by residual products from the forest industry. Root table is available as six different tables in various sizes and heights all perfect for low seating. The different shapes complement each other and can be used individually, as pairs or in groups. About the designer: Runa Klock has for years been one of Norways major designer names and won international acclaim. Her design is often inspired by nature and her adventures led her to climb Mt Kilimanjaro this January. Klock is also known for her social responsibility by her project Epleslang, pairing disabled kids and unharvested fruit trees and making fruit juice. The designers own textile line, sold by the Norwegian interior chain KID, finances a school for impoverished children in Pakistan. «Fora Form have for a long period wanted to incorporate Runa Klock into our pool of designers. Now, with the ROOT table, both timing and product design was spot on. Fora Form is proud to have a female designer with such a burning social responsibility by our side. Runa s ROOT tables are a key element in 2017s collection and manifest Fora Form as a leading design brand by adding this new exciting young designer. Fora Form s CEO Ivar Sandnes
