SUSTAINABLE URBAN TRANSPORT PLAN FOR BELGRADE Plan preparation started by the end of 2011 as a result of joint efforts of UNDP Serbia, Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning and the City of Belgrade - through the Belgrade Land Development Agency and the Secretariat for Transport; engaged consultant was consortium consisting of Portuguese companies Parquexpo and TIS, with Center for urban development planning as a local support. SUSTAINABLE URBAN TRANSPORT PLAN FOR BELGRADE - PHASES Finished first phase of SUTP project - analysis of the legal and institutional framework in Belgrade and Serbia - evaluation of alignment of existing planning and legal documents (regional and national) with EU transport policy goals, overall sustainability principles and general guiding principles and orientations for the SUT; - identification and involvement of stakeholders; - capacity assessment; - recognition of the problems in terms of communication between the various stakeholders, overlapping of responsibilities between institutions, lack of public involvement etc. Planning the second phase of SUTP project
