Americus-Sumter High School (North) At present, although the memorial faces the roadway, the chain link fence obscures motorists' views, in addition to overgrown plantings that dwarf the memorial. 1. Japanese maple 2. Maiden grass 3. Sweet olive 4. Daylily y In this image, the fence has been rerouted behind the memorial allowing improved visibility from the roadway while landscaping appropriately accents the space. However, if the intention is for the memorial to be used by students and teachers, it is our suggestion that the memorial be relocated closer to the building, allowing easier access for those on campus.
