Typical applications are for example silo and tank monitoring, land fill gas measurement or bio gas facilities. Direct measurement within these processes is often impossible due to adverse application conditions. Sampling from process gas and external measurement are required instead. With the integral Measuring Concepts of the IMC Series ExTox offers efficient solutions even for those measuring tasks. This Series combines all necessary components in one compact wall mounted housing from sampling and preparation of measured gas, sensor technique and evaluation. High flexibility in adaptation to the respective application conditions held the spotlight when designing the concept. Thus only the respectively necessary components are fit with. The modular construction and the use of the approved ExTox-Transmitter and Control Units ensure a cost efficient purchase and maintenance. IMC-8D Series In the IMC-8D a control unit of the ET-8D Series will evaluate the measuring signals and release the operating commands. An extension of the control unit software integrates the control and monitoring of the components for sampling and preparation of measured gas. Due to eight available measuring channels it is possible to integrate even external transmitters without additional expenses into the system, for example for monitoring ambient air. Integral Measuring Concepts IMC-4D Series In many applications the amount of measuring gases and sample points is restricted and a complex preparation of the gas sample is not necessary. Then the IMC-4D will be an alternative to the greater IMC-8D-systems. User interface and modular construction follow the design of the greater system. compact wall mounted housing (600 mm x 600 mm x 350 mm) control of sampling and preparation of measured gas as well as evaluation of status messages by ET-4D2 up to 4 transmitters, out of them maximum 3 internally gas suction pump electronic flow rate monitoring dust filter IMC-Sens Series Hosing: PE/PP magnetic valve for test gas application 2 fans for housing, rotary speed monitored As option: Type IMC-4DA with four 4-20 ma-output condensate trap manually/automatically flame arrestor heating for enclosure In the IMC-Sens the ExTox-control unit is omitted. The measuring signal of the transmitter and provided messages are evaluated externally, for example in a superior process control system. The signals are connected to central, easily accessible clamp lines. A power supply is integrated. System AS-1 The System AS-1 combines a transmitter with a gas suction pump and flow rate monitoring. Result is a compact sampling system which is protected from environmental influences and is able to be installed close by the desired measuring point. wall mounted housing (380 mm x 300 mm x 155 mm) gas suction pump flow rate monitoring with indication by the current output of the transmitter Hosing: PVC/PE (depends on gas composition) ExTox_Uebersicht_e_V15.doc,21/08/2007, Seite 5 von 8
Biogas-Monitoring Special Type IMC-Biogas The IMC-Biogas are examples for customer specific solutions which could be designed on basis of the IMC-8D or IMC-4D according to your requirements. They are aligned to the special requirements of the biogas monitoring. Select the suitable transmitters for your measuring task out of the extensive ExTox- Programme. It covers of course all current values, such as for example Methane (CH4), Oxygen (O2), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2). High-precision Measurement of CH 4 - and CO 2 We basically focus on the measuring principle of IR-Absorption, as only this principle ensures the high requirements for a precise and repeatable measurement and the high lifetime of minimum 5 years can be achieved. Durable O 2 -Measurement The build in sensor element offers a lifetime of more than 5 years. As known from other standard O 2 sensor elements lifetime is not affected by the CO 2 -content of biogas. Persistent H 2 S-Measurement The procedure used by us is also persistent against high H 2 S-concentrations. A two-stage concept protects the electro-chemical sensor element. Up to the end value of measuring range of 3000 ppm we decrease the load of the sensor without reverting to an incorrect dilution of measured gas. In case of concentrations exceeding the end value of measuring range the sensor is flushed with air at the beginning of the next measuring cycle. Transmitters In General There are multiple tasks which need to be fulfilled when monitoring gases and vapours. The range covers the opportune warning before it comes to the release of flammable substances, monitoring of concentrations of toxic gases at working places as well as controlling of production processes. Due to modern sensor technique based on the measuring principles catalytic combustion, electro chemistry, semi-conductor and infrared absorption the ExTox transmitters offer excellent solutions for nearly all thinkable applications, for example: measurement of flammable gases monitoring of concentrations at working places ("MAK-Monitoring") recognizing leakages oxygen monitoring You find our wide range of measuring gas and corresponding measuring ranges in the permanently actualised transmitter survey on our Homepage www.extox.de. All transmitters could be combined. Due to their modular construction accessories and spare parts are mutually extensively interchangeable, which facilitates and enables installation, adjustment and maintenance at low cost. The measuring signal of the transmitters ExSens/Sens is a linear 4-20 ma signal output. The series Sens-I / ExSens-I Series are equipped with a RS-485 bus interface additionally. Monitoring of Ammonia and ph in fluid Mediums In General With development of transmitters NH3-20-IS und ph-is the company ExTox has technically improved and simplified the ammonia leakage and ph-monitoring in water, water-/glycol, sole and other fluid mediums by means of the Transmitter NH3-20-IS. The new development of an interchangeable fitting with integrated control-unit ET-F enables compact design, which safes mounting space and installation cost. The transmitters could either be used in closed circuits with a pressure range of 0.5 to 6 bar or in open, pressure-less systems, such as for example basins or channels. Installation in pipe lines is done via welded sockets (G 1 1/4 A) and interchangeable fittings, which enable the mounting and dismounting of the electrode under process conditions. An immersion fitting for pressure-less measurement is also available. Transmitter NH3-20-IS The use of the ionic-selective measuring principle offers a standard measuring range of 0 to 20 ppm. This means that leakages are recognized obviously earlier than other with conventional detecting systems. Furthermore it allows the selective ammonia detection in all fluid mediums (ph-range 4 to 13).
