Project: Swainsea Lane Affordable Housing, Pickering Services: Construction Management Plan, Groundwater Monitoring Plan SuDS New developments frequently involve installing new areas of hardstanding. Surface water run-off from these areas needs to be controlled, often by Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), to ensure your site does not flood or contribute to offsite flooding. SuDS also act to filter or improve the quality of water leaving your site. As of April 2015 the Written Ministerial Statement (HCWS161) states that SuDS are a mandatory requirement for developments of 10 dwellings or more. At an early stage in your project we can design a SuDS solution that is appropriate and cost effective for your site, using information from site visits and through the use of computer software. We use industry standard software such as Micro Drainage and Flood Modeller to ensure our designs are accurate and comply with guidance such as the SuDS Manual (CIRIA C753).
