This award is made by the AKCA, based on a recommendation from the SCVKWG Board of Directors. The SCVKWG Directors made their recommendation in recognition of Barbara s years of dedication, leadership and hard work that have contributed greatly to making the Club the success that it is. Club Officers - 2008 President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Program Director July 19, 2008 Pond Tour This year s pond tour was a great success. But only because of our club members who volunteered and helped with all phases of the tour. A very big Thank You from the organizers. Many of our members also visited the ponds and we thank you for your loyal support. We had 142 less visitors from 2007 and with the economy and gas prices hitting everyone very hard we feel the 288 people that came were loyal and very interested in our ponds. We had people come from far away and many signed up to be notified about the tour next year. Many advertising venues opened up to us this year and because of this next year we will be reaching out to many more new people. We were very pleased as we brought in $4,330.00 and with our timely price increase we were just short $20.00 from last years total. The ponds on the tour this year were beautiful and the owners were very gracious to all who came. Thank you for your kindness and generosity and for all of the work it took to have people file through your yards to view your lovely ponds and koi. Thank You to one and all it was a great Pond Tour.
