Cropping Modules Peat-perlite growing media available In 1 metre bags and also in IBCs or bulk for troughs and containers. A peat-perlite growing medium of open structure and low nutrient level to encourage extremely rapid root establishment and provide a sound basis for high yield and fruit quality. N 48, P 128, K 177 Strawberry Module A peat-perlite growing medium of open structure and higher nutrient levels for more vigorous salad crops. N 180, P 210, K 360 Tomato Module Vermiculite A naturally occurring, non-toxic, soft mica mineral. Heated to a high temperature which produces a lightweight, sterile, laminated structure. Vermiculite has a natural PH between 6-7. Fine Medium Coarse Granule size: 1.0-3.0mm. Useful for aiding the water management of peat composts as it retains water more strongly than peat and so extends watering intervals and provides a nucleus for re-wetting. The nutrient buffering complements this water buffering action. Use at up to 50% by volume. Granule size: 2.0-5.0mm. Useful for improving aeration without impacting adversely on water capacity or water retention. It can also be used for seed covering. Use at up to 50% by volume. Granule size: 5.0-10.0mm. Useful when higher aeration levels are required without impacting adversely on water capacity or water retention. Use at up to 50% by volume. Perlite A naturally occurring, non toxic, volcanic rock. Heated to a high temperature to produce a light weight micro porous structure. Fine Seed Standard Particle size: 0.15-2.0 mm Useful for aiding the water management of peat composts as its small pores strongly retain water. Its ability to adhere to the surface of the peat promotes wetting and the capillary movement of water means that composts are also easier to manage, wetting up easily and with uniform water distribution. Use at up to 20% by volume. Particle size: 1.0-3.0 mm Useful for improving the aeration of composts to be used in smaller containers and where improved aeration is required in larger containers without reducing water holding capacity. The characteristics of temperature stability, improved wetting and water transport are retained. Use at up to 25% by volume. 9 Particle size: 1.0-5.0 mm. Useful for increasing aeration in larger containers and producing a well-drained environment for root growth. Use at up to 40% by volume. Particle size: 1.0-5.0 mm. Super Coarse Particularly useful for increasing aeration in larger containers and producing a well-drained environment for root growth. Use at up to 20% by volume.
