Solving challenges. Artificial Lift Enhancing the Halliburton Product Line

Enhancing the Halliburton Product Line In 2013, Halliburton began a new phase in its strategy to deliver overall reservoir performance by creating a new Product /Service Line (PSL) Artificial Lift (AL) to add to its growing family of fourteen. Following on the heels of entry into oilfield chemicals, Halliburton is now able to provide a complete array of products and services that extends from reservoir characterization to the AL lifting methods that can optimize production throughout the life cycle of the well. 2

The Halliburton Artificial Lift Family Initially, Halliburton Artificial Lift (AL) offers three popular lift methods Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs), Surface Rod Pumps (SRPs) and Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCPs) and an Automated Remote Monitoring and Control (RMC) System that can be adapted to all three methods. SRPs are fully compatible with any Rod Lift downhole system. Each provides a unique ability to maximize wellbore production at a variety of depths, volumes, and conditions and over different stages of the well life cycle. Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) Surface Rod Pumps (SRP) Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) Vertical Depth Up to 20,000 ft (6,096 m) Up to 7,500 ft (2,286 m) Up to 8,000 ft (2,448 m) Well Volume 200 50,000 B/D 10 2,500 B/D 100 3,000 B/D Low to Medium Viscosity Low to Medium Viscosity High Viscosity Fluid Properties Moderate/High Gas Low Gas High Gas Up to 176.7 C (350 F) Up to 232.2 C (450 F) Up to 148.9 C (300 F) Moderate solids Few solids High solids 3

Halliburton Electrical Submersible Pumping System Halliburton manufactures and provides sustaining/r&d engineering for the submersible pump, motor, protector, gas separator, and motor lead extension. Taking advantage of economies of scale from other industries and their global R&D capabilities, we have formed strategic partnerships with surface control systems, downhole sensors, and power cable manufacturers to provide a complete ESP system that is supported by Halliburton s global network and quality management system (HMS). Halliburton has developed a proprietary remote monitoring, control, and intelligent optimization system that has begun to revolutionize the way operators view the exploitation of their reservoirs. Halliburton also offers a unique gas separator technology known as Q-MAX Bypass, which expands the operating envelope for gassy wells and the following associated ESP services: system design, installation, maintenance, repair, and equipment testing to API standards. APPLICATIONS Mature field wells with high fluid volume Unconventional shale plays Deep, high volume on/offshore wells Horizontal or deviated wells High gas/oil ratios Gas well dewatering BENEFITS Increased production through improved well drawdown and longer equipment run time Reduced intervention cost via custom design and reliable equipment Reduced labor expense with the use of remote monitoring and control Improved HS&E performance due to less man-hours in vehicles More stable operation in gassy environment by the use of Q-Max Gas Separator Electrical Submersible Pumping System (ESP) 4

Halliburton Surface Rod Pumps Easily transported and quickly installed on any existing rod-pumped well, the MaxiStroke pump pays benefits with every stroke. The MaxiStroke real-time adjustable, ultra-long, variable-speed stroke self-adjusts to dynamic fluid levels in the well to optimize well performance. The integrated pump-off controller software automatically senses downhole conditions and changing load levels, and then the software adjusts the unit speed to maintain optimum fluid levels. APPLICATIONS Heavy/extra heavy oil wells with low to medium volume (10-500 B/D) and depths to 1,828.8 m (6,000 ft). Rod lift pumping wells with rod problems/ premature downhole equipment failure Unconventional shale wells with rapidly declining inflow profile BENEFITS Self-adjusts to dynamic fluid levels for optimized well performance Greater stroke range than conventional rod lift Reduced interventions Less rod and tubing wear Adapts to all wellheads and downhole systems Easy and economical to transport, install and maintain Complete system (Hydraulic fluid, concrete pads, carrier bar and maintenance program for one year) MaxiStroke Long Stroke Surface Rod Pumping Unit (LS) MaxiStroke Extra Long Stroke Surface Rod Pumping Unit (XLS) 5

Halliburton Progressive Cavity Pumping Systems Halliburton provides the complete PCP system, including pump rotor/stator, surface drive head/motor, variable speed drive, downhole sensor, and all ancillary components. Rods are optional. APPLICATIONS Heavy/extra heavy wells with volume range 50-2000 B/D and depths to 1,524 m (5,000 ft) Wells up to 1,524 m (5,000 ft) with high viscosity and significant solids Shallow to medium depth wells with high sensitivity to energy costs Low volume, high viscosity wells up to 2,438.4 m (8,000 ft) Able to perform in deviated wells if H2O content is low CBM well dewatering BENEFITS Low capital cost High energy efficiency Low installation/maintenance cost Relatively simple operation Environmentally friendly with low profile Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) 6

Monitoring and Automation With Halliburton s web-based Remote Monitoring & Control (RMC) system performing 24/7 monitoring of your wells, you have total performance identification and control of your most valuable assets. Operator efficiency and profitability is greatly enhanced as RMC enables reduced field monitoring costs and improved pump performance. Problems can be diagnosed in real time and remedial action taken on wells equipped with ESPs, PCPs, or rod pumps. The following are examples of what RMC can do for you: Monitor your artificial lift operations in real time Receive alarms in case of performance anomaly or non-conformance event Receive periodic status reports via email or text Also accessible from Apple iphone or ipad mobile digital devices Create and save custom trend plots and associated data View your DynaCard and compare to previous DynaCards InteLift TM Remote Monitoring System 7
