Introduction At Myburgh Designs we believe that it s important to create an elegant oasis of beauty and calm; a retreat from the noise and rush of daily life. Each Myburgh design blends high end sculptural originality with lasting functionality, inviting you to create and enjoy your own personal paradise. Our distinctive balconies, railings and gates bring a unique, yet practical dimension to your home and garden. Imaginatively designed garden swing seats, charming copper flowers and bespoke pieces are crafted using luxurious organic materials that mellow beautifully with age and blend effortlessly with the environment. Every design allows you to interact with it in a personal way; some invite you to curl up inside them with a good book while others request that you lie back, close your eyes and drift away with your day dreams.
Ostara Swing The romantic Ostara Swing is big enough for two. Curl up and peacefully drift away by yourself or cuddle up with a loved one. Admire from a distance; cherish from within..
Lily Swing Oak Leaf Swing Catch yourself in a falling leaf! The Oak Leaf Swing was designed in 2011 to mark our involvement with the National Trust. The swing is a clear interpretation of the Trust s logo and is wonderfully comfortable. Taking its inspiration from the Stargazer Lily, the gentle and graceful curves of this lovely swing are truly feminine in form.
Jasmin Swing The fairy tale Jasmin Swing features curling florets of wrought iron tumbling down to enclose a woven basket. Sweetly scented climbing jasmin can also be intertwined to complement the swing s natural surroundings.
Pumpkin Swing The magnificent Pumpkin Swing draws you inside to relax in your own secret hideaway. Made from copper and waxed for protection against the elements, the Pumpkin Swing features a hidden music box and an integral light which creates a warm glow and sparkles on the smooth copper walls. I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion. Henry David Thoreau
Moon Swing The magical Moon Swing has a wonderfully smooth beaten copper interior forming a golden hammock. A quiet and majestic place to rest from the hustle and bustle of life. Mypod Swing Relaxing in the Mypod swing gives you a feeling of utter escape both in movement and sound. Its ridges of pure golden copper encircle you and you ll find the swing magically turning itself into an acoustic cocoon.
Bubble Swing The Bubble Swing is the ultimate tree accessory for anyone wishing to float away in the privacy of their own garden. It fuses a modern eclectic circular design with delicate stainless steel metal work. Bubble wrap for the soul.

Stephen Myburgh was born in Durban, South Africa. After his national service he left South Africa and began a long voyage of discovery. My travels have taken me all over the world. From the jungles of Guatemala to the deserts of Egypt. It is these places and these experiences that help me see the world as I see it now. In 1997 his wanderings brought him to London. It was in London that he started to explore metal work on a large scale. In 1998 in partnership with Caroline Fletcher (whom he would later marry), Myburgh Designs launched the Mood Swing collection. Nature and its subtleties have always been my design program. But opulence and luxury offer the theater that I love to live with. Copper is a wonderful medium to merge these two desires. Stephen Myburgh s work are hand-made functional sculptures that give the feeling of natural opulence. Soft forms and curves create an organic and feminine feel. Stephen has his eyes set on a positive future. I want to contribute to a new era in which environment, art and design converge to lay the corner stones for the very bright future that I see ahead of us. Stephen Myburgh
