Join PRESS RELEASE * FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE * VALCUCINE Modern Kitchens from Italy 'Green' Kitchens have arrived in San Diego DNA, a full service European Design Studio, has expanded its showroom in San Diego s Downtown Little Italy to make room for the environmentally friendly Italian Kitchen Line, Valcucine. Valcucine will be showcased with DNA s other European design collections such as Fritz Hansen, Moroso, Living Divani, Erik Jorgensen and Carl Hansen. Valcucine, whose philosophy is: Respect for Man, Respect for the Environment and Design that Surpasses Fashion was carefully chosen by DNA owner, Danish architect, Jesper Pedersen. There is nothing like it out there. The design is innovative, versatile and of superior quality and craftsmanship with its own Lego System consisting of 2.5 million components, giving architects/interior designers and clients enormous aesthetic and pricing versatility. Very important to me and my wife/partner, Cathi, is Valcucine s commitment to the planet, responsible manufacturing and the reinstatement of raw materials. Eco-conscious Valcucine make it now possible to design a completely 'Green' Kitchen. In fact most of the product from Valcucine is completely recyclable and non-polluting. Over the last quarter of a century, Valcucine has been on a quest for a radical reduction of the material and energy used in the production of counters, fixtures and accessories. They emphasize what they call dematerialization which aims to make the kitchen both disappear and last forever. Valcucine makes products that use less of everything. Most people think of eco-compatibility in terms of recycling, says Valcucine designer Gabriele Page 1 of 5
Centazzo. But even with recycling, the earth s resources aren t nearly sufficient to allow the bulk of the planet s population to consume at the levels we do in the developed world. If we are ever to allow the entire population to reach our standard of living we have to learn to do with less. The company will even recycle your entire kitchen for you. The arrangement shown has a system that makes it possible to camouflage the hob, sink, tap and oven, making the most of the formal clean-cut lines of the arrangement which, with all its concealed functional elements, becomes pure domestic architecture. VALCUCINE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT Doors and worktops are in Crystallite, 100% antibacterial thanks to the presence of silver ions (already used as far back as the antique Romans). The 100% aluminum frame can be completely recycled. Less material used for the worktop and door. Page 2 of 5
ALESSI Kitchens by VALCUCINE on permanent display in Italy Creativity and design in the new trade fair building in Rho, Italy At the new trade fair building in Rho,Italy in the permanent exhibiting space of ALESSI, VALCUCINE is exhibiting the new ALESSI by VALCUCINE kitchens, designed by the architect Alessandro Mendini. Nuova Fiera RHO - Spazio Permanente ALESSI (Permanent exhibiting space of ALESSI). EASY FOOD: Kitchens for the Disabled EASY FOOD stems from the need to combine a perfect analysis of the needs of the disabled with the creation of a kitchen that is not only easy to use but also attractive and accurate in every detail. EASY FOOD is a stainless steel kitchen system, designed to reduce hassle during food preparation. It is really innovative in terms of ergonomics, safety and technical solutions and has Page 3 of 5
been designed to offer excellent accessibility to the advantage of anyone using the kitchen. The stainless steel worktop is cast in a single die. This technological solution avoids welding and building in of appliances that would increase costs and defects. Food is prepared, chopped, cooked and drained at the same workstation. All this is possible without moving pots and pans. A self-cleaning system makes the water drain away from the user by conveying it directly to the service sink. The worktop can also be equipped with dish-drainers and removable and transportable sinks. This worktop has been constructed by Bautek and completed by VALCUCINE by adding wall-hung units, corner elements with accessories that are fully accessible even by those using a wheelchair, the Libera hood in stainless steel and curved toughened glass, perfect for any ergonomic solution and the top- notch of VALCUCINE design.
