Dear friends and colleagues, On behalf of the Department of Landscape Management, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University in Brno, we request the pleasure of your participation in the third year of conference PUBLIC RECREATION AND LANDSCAPE PROTECTION WITH MAN HAND IN HAND... organized under the auspices of doc. Dr. Ing. Petr Horáček, the Dean of the Faculty of forestry and Woodtechnology, Mendel University in Brno, and of Bc. Roman Onderka, MBA, the Mayor of the City of Brno, in cooperation with the Department of Biology, Faculty of Education, Palacký University Olomouc, AOPK ČR (Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic) Administration of the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area, Czech Society of Landscape Engineers, and the Czech Association for Landscape Ecology The conference is going to take place on May 1 3, 2013 in the Santon Hotel, Brno.
The main topics of the conference: Utilization of natural phenomena to support regional development, opportunities for grants and subsidies Components of leisure and tourist potential of a territory character of landscape, geological formations, woody vegetation, water elements in the landscape and others Damage to parts of landscape by leisure business examples of solution, experience, good practice Nature-friendly ways of tourism and leisure Leisure and tourism using transport networks New forms and trends of rural tourism Leisure and tourism usage of the territory and the effect of impact assessment on the environment (EIA, SEA, biological assessment) Compensations for owners for the use of territory for leisure damage removal, maintenance Safe and responsible movement of leisure travellers in the territories where the regime without interventions is in place Presentation of and access to protected areas for handicapped people Up-to-date research methods, education, interpretation in the field of natural heritage and tourism and leisure Scientific committee: Ing. Interpreting service will be provided when needed. Posters will be displayed throughout the conference. We recommend you to take a spare shoes or clothes on a field trip to Litovelské Pomoraví and on the rafts sandals are recommended. The papers will be reviewed and the best papers will be recommended for publication in Journal of Landscape Management. The proceedings will be sent for evaluation to Thomson Reuters and allocation Conference Proceeding Citation Index. The proceeding from the year 2010 is included in the Web of Knowledge. During the conference, on May 2, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the Annual Conference of the Czech Society for Landscape Ecology will be held in the Špilberk lounge at Santon Hotel.
Participation Fee 2 100 Czk when paid by 15 March 2013 including (the date when the fee has to be credited to our account) 2 500 Czk for later payments, 30 April 2013 at latest 3 000 Czk payment on the spot The first author of a presentation is entitled to a 200 Czk reduction on the conference fee. Employees or members of organizing institutions gain a reduction of 200 Czk and students gain a reduction of 200 Czk. Participants in last year's conference can apply 200 Czk discount. Members of the Czech Association for Landscape Ecology gain a reduction of 1 000 Czk. The above mentioned reductions can be cumulated.
