A video connection to a remote site is automatically initiated when a video-enabled alarm is dispatched. Video-enabled alarms are user-defined based on the alarm type or the specific alarm zone. Individual cameras are identified in the MASterMind database, and can be linked to alarm zones/points so that camera selection is automatic when the alarm is received. Video integration involves a MAS-developed viewer named MASVideo and MASvideoN, typically using the vendor s specs (usually an ActiveX API), which is unique to each vendor.
