To make it possible to perform the related pumping and processing in the predominantly extremely low temperatures, pipes and equipment, instruments and switch cabinets must be safely heated. TEF TRACE Frost protection and process heating monitoring and control Tranberg Tef Trace is a multi-loop monitoring and control system for heat tracing applications. The scalability of the system will match most applications where the need of a fully automatic control and supervision is present. The operators panel is located in the panel door. The human, man, machine interface (HMI) provides the personnel with an easyto-use menu where several parameters can be read and set, while the personnel also has access to alarms, status information, trend data and so forth. Heat trace accessories Tranberg has designed and manufactured heat tracing equipment and heating applications for rough environments for more than 25 years. Our product range consists of an assortment of different heat tracing junction boxes, capillary and electronic thermostats, protection material and control systems. Heat tracing Solutions Photo Eiliv Leren/Statoil TEF TRACE SAVE ENERGY USING FROST PROTECTION MONITORING AND CONTROL Tranberg TEF Trace multi-loop monitoring and control system for frost protection applications. The scalability of the system will match most applications where the need of a fully automatic control and supervision is present. The operator panel is located in the TEF Trace panel door. This HMI provides the personnel with an easy-to-use menu where several parameters can be read and set, while the personnel also have access to alarms, status information and trend data. Energy Saving: Solid State Relays (SSR): Allows rapid output pulsing (PWM) to quickly achieve the set temperatures, and to ensure a precise temperature control. Scalability: The software is designed to use configurable parameters, allowing customer-specific solutions for e.g. number of outputs and temperature readings. Smooth load control: The system will turn on the outputs in a sequence that minimizes in-rush current when e.g. turning on self-regulating heating cables. Intelligent monitoring: The system will automatically, and periodically, check each output for any earth-leakage and current consumption. All data is accessible in the menu in the control panel. TEF Trace is modularized and typically delivered with either 36 or 45 outgoing circuits, each at 16 or 25A. Completely built into a steel cabinet, external connections are limited to a 3 phase incoming power, outgoing circuits, and interface signals to external control systems. Individual control of any output: Each output may be turned on or off, have a fixed duty cycle (PWM), or be set at a specific temperature. The dead band may also be set as required. Anti-icing (kept ice free) e.g., door seals, ballast tank vents and cargo system valves. De-icing (ice removal in 4-6 hours) e.g., helidecks, walkways, walkways, ladders, antennas, scuppers and railings. Helideck Control System The TEF 4500 Commander Utility Helideck Lights Control System (HLCS) is a complete control system for all helideck lights. Based upon the Commander Utility technology, this control system allows the control panel to be installed in the bridge or radio equipment room, while the enclosure with all other necessary components may be installed further away. Between the two a simple Cat 3 ++ cable ensures that the industry-proven RS-485 network provides a reliable two-way communication. The Informer V10 Ex AIS AtoN An AIS information provider used for collision avoidance transmitting to all AIS equipped vessels in the area standard message 21 containing amongst other information the position and size of the platform. Housed in an Exd well glass enclosure the unit is certified for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas The light station- single lift, pre-wired and ready for field cabling. The Tideland Signal Fog Detector Available in safe area and Zone 1 certified version, can be used to automatically control the fog signals. It measures atmospheric visibility (meteorological optical range) by determining the amount of light scattered by particles (smoke, dust, haze, fog, rain and snow) in the air that passes through the sample volume. The fog signal and subsidiary lightthe subsidiary light can also be mounted separately. Battery Boxes Designed for operation in the harsh marine environment and suitable for Zone 1 hazardous areas. The boxes have ventilation to ensure any hydrogen released remains below 50% of the lower explosion level while having ingress protection (IP56). Suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Tideland Signal has been providing marking systems to the offshore industry for over 35 years. Many of these systems have a 25 year history of reliable service in some of the harshest environments on the planet. The latest development brings the benefits of LED technology (including 15Nm lantern) resulting in low power, no re-lamping and minimal maintenance to the offshore industry operating in Zone 1 (ATEX CAT2) hazardous areas. The systems comply with the latest IALA Recommendation O-139 on the Marking of Man-Made Offshore Structures and include the option of a 15Nm light which is often additionally required by regional authorities. Tideland Signal designs systems for maximum reliability as they need to operate during safety critical times. Each of the lanterns and fog signals are therefore autonomous units with their own U coder. In this way, service to the mariner is not affected by any central control panel failure, and they run directly from the standby battery minimising Points of Failure. Another advantage of this design is that it provides flexibility in the way the system can be powered. A central battery system, where standby power is maintained by a charger housed with a DC distribution board and monitor panel can be used; or alternatively a de-centralised system, where each light and fog signal station has its own power supply and battery with only an alarm panel at a central location. Both versions can provide photocell override for turning the lights on during the day, and a fog signal silent switch. The advantage of the de-centralised configuration is that space is saved in the central areas and DC distribution is minimised. The Syncrolan system is certified under the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas. Versions are available for Zone 2 and for Class 1 Division 2 Group D areas, as described by the National Electrical Code. Fabricated from Stainless Steel 316L and in a range of sizes.
