WARNINGS: Handle concentrate with care. May be irritating to eyes. Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from food and feed. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. In case of poisoning call a doctor and make this label available to him Re-entry Do not enter treated area within one day after treatment unless wearing protective clothing. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal soil, climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water; compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the weeds to the remedy concerned as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of registration. Consult the supplier or registration holder in the event of any uncertainty. PRECAUTIONS: Do not inhale vapours or spray mist. When opening the container or preparing and using the spray avoid skin contact by wearing protective clothing (cotton overalls buttoned at neck and wrists, hat, PVC or nitrile gloves, face shield or goggles and boots). If product gets in eyes, wash them thoroughly with water. Wash hands with soap and cold water after use or skin contact and before meals. After each day s use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles, and all contaminated clothing. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying or before washing hands and face and changing clothes. Prevent spray drift onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams or other areas not under treatment. Clean all equipment thoroughly after use and do not pollute the environment with wash water. Triple rinse empty container in the following manner: Invert the container over the mixing or spray tank and allow it to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to at least one tenth of that of the container and add the rinsings to the content of the spray tank. Destroy the container by sending it to an authorised recycler, or by puncturing and burying it. Empty containers must not be burnt. Do not use the container for any other purpose. FIRST AID: Seek immediate medical attention. Remove patient from source of poisoning and keep him quiet and reassured. Eye contact: Wash with clean water for minimum of 15 minutes. Inhalation: Move patient to fresh air, keep warm and rested. Skin contact: Remove all contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated skin thoroughly with water and then with soap and water.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically. After ingestion consider gastric lavage. RESISTANCE WARNING: For resistance management, Best-Buy is a Group Code H herbicide. Any weed population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Best-Buy and other Group Code H herbicides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds may not be controlled by Best-Buy or any other Group Code H herbicides. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, the registration holder accepts no responsibility for any losses that may result from the failure of Best-Buy to control resistant weeds. To delay herbicide resistance: Avoid exclusive repeated use of herbicides from the same herbicide Group Code. Alternate or tank mix with products from different herbicide Group Codes. Integrate other control methods [chemical, cultural, biological] into weed control programmes. For specific information on resistance management contact the supplier. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED BEST-BUY is a non-selective herbicide with activity against many annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. It is absorbed by plant foliage and green stems. It is not significantly translocated within the plant and therefore will only kill that part of a green plant in contact with the spray. BEST-BUY does not provide residual weed control. Visible symptoms of control appear in 3 to 7 days, but complete desiccation may take 20 to 30 days under cool conditions. Best results are achieved when the application is made under good growing conditions. Application to weeds under stress (e.g. continuous severe frosts, dry or waterlogged conditions) should be avoided. It is not advisable to apply BEST-BUY in conjunction with soil fumigation or sterilisation. Perennial weeds: Apply when weeds are actively growing. Follow-up treatments will be necessary to control re-growth of perennial weeds in most cases. The addition of a wetting agent or other adjuvant is generally not considered necessary. However, benefit has been obtained using a wetting agent on hard-to-wet weeds when using water rates in excess of 500 l/ha. A rate of 25 ml of a 1000 g/l non-ionic wetting agent, or equivalent /100 l of spray mixture is recommended. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Shake container well before use. Use clear clean water for mixing; avoid contaminated water.

Two-thirds fill the spray tank with clean water, and with agitator operating, add the required amount of BEST-BUY. Top up the tank to the required volume with clean water, with agitator still running. APPLICATION DIRECTIONS: Aim to apply a thorough and even coverage of spray to the target plants. Dense stands of weeds should be thoroughly wetted with spray. Incomplete coverage may result in poor control. Equipment should be such that adequate coverage, penetration and volume of spray liquid can be achieved. Complete cover of weeds is essential for good control. A spray volume of 300 l/ha should be used for weeds up to 10 cm tall, 500 l/ha for weeds 10-50 cm tall and 800 l/ha for weeds taller than 50 cm. In orchards, apply as a directed or shielded spray. Do not allow spray or spray drift to contact desirable foliage or green bark. The recommended rate of use is determined by the following criteria: Weed species: Apply the rates indicated in the tables below. Weed stage of growth: Use the lower rate when weeds are young and succulent or the population is very sparse. A median rate should be used for medium sized plants and the high rate when weeds are mature. Best results are achieved when weeds are sprayed before they set seed. Weed density: Use higher rates when the weed population is dense. Thorough coverage of weeds is essential for good control. Climatic conditions: Best results are achieved when applied under warm humid conditions. Control will be reduced and/or slower under cold and/or overcast conditions. Weeds that have been hardened or stunted in growth due to environmental stress should be treated at the maximum rate. See also comment below.

Do not spray Common reed that is growing in moving water (rivers, streams or canals). Where spray has come into contact with water, DO NOT USE THIS WATER FOR DOMESTIC PURPOSES FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS AFTER APPLICATION. NOTES 1. Best-Buy controls or suppresses the abovementioned weed species. Other weed species that were not present during the development trials with the product, may possibly also be controlled to a certain degree. The registration holder does not accept any responsibility for unlisted weeds. 2. Weed seedlings that have not yet emerged will not be controlled. 3. Do not spray weeds suffering from environmental stress (e.g., drought, cold, waterlogging, salinity) as herbicidal action will be reduced. 4. Irrigation prior to application of Best-Buy improves weed control, but do not spray when weeds are wet from rain or irrigation 5. Do not spray if weeds are covered with a heavy layer of mud, dust or debris. 6. Allow 12 hours between spray application and overhead irrigation. 7. Rainfall above 5 mm within 12 hours of application may reduce weed control. 8. Green side shoots and suckers may be sprayed and scorched without damage extending to the rest of a fruit tree or vine. 9. Spray must not be allowed to contact green stems, leaves, active buds or fruit of crop plants or ornamentals.
