Presenting a New, Energy-Saving Fan System for Drop Ceilings * Achieve these benefits: Destratification Temperature Equalization Circulation Filtration/Purification *patent pending
ZOO Fans In-Ceiling fan system is designed for installing in drop (or, T-Bar) ceilings Recirculate the air you already paid to heat or cool Closed-loop design will not interfere with the operation of the existing HVAC except the system will run less! bring it down to your ZOO the Zone Of Occupancy in a gentle, concise, easy-todirect column Save 20-40% on heating and 10-30% on cooling and noticeably improve comfort! 2
ZOO Fans In-Ceiling fan system is designed for installing in drop (or, T-Bar) ceilings Recycle your energy dollars In the heating season, bring down the warm air that naturally accumulates at the ceiling In the cooling season, push the cool, conditioned air down and improve air circulation Save 20-40% on heating and 10-30% on cooling and noticeably improve comfort! 3
ZOO Fans In-Ceiling fan system is designed for installing in drop (or, T-Bar) ceilings Easy to Install Each fan system comes with four (4) Gripple cable hooks and hardware Closed-loop design does not compromise return plenum or otherwise interfere with existing HVAC system Connections and fittings are equipped with factory installed, triple-lipped self sealing gaskets for quick installation Adjustable nozzle to direct air where it is needed, or to direct away (optional diffusers available, see following) Easy to Control Operate individually or together in zones Optional controls: I. Manual II. Programmable with Remote Sensors III. Wired or Wireless IV. Interface with Building Management System(s) Variable speed control allows for infinite adjustment for fine-tuned performance Made Right High-quality fans, guaranteed performance Acoustic duct work for ultra-silent operation Suitable for any room: multiple intake and diffuser options and customized configurations to match desired airflow patterns 4
Multiple fan options available to fit your application Mixed Flow Inline Duct Fan Available in 6, 8 and 10 sizes Lightweight and easy to hang EnergyStar rated fan Lower watt draw & high CFM Quiet and Ultra-Quiet options Centrifugal Inline Duct Fan Available in 10 size Award winning SQS SilentFan design Powered by Ziehl-Abegg centrifugal fan Acoustically lined for ultra quiet operation High resistance to pressure allows for multiple points of intake or exhaust and higher airflow over longer runs Can also be connected to rigid duct work for open ceiling application. Paintable to match ceiling. 5
Sleek, streamlined design No unsightly housing or ducting hanging down in the occupied space! Adaptable to a broad range of ceiling heights and different uses The standard jet ball diffuser offers: + Long throw, from 8 to 50 + + Available in Black or White + Adjustable nozzle to direct airflow Optional Diffusers Standard 8 and 10 ducting can be adapted to most industry standard diffusers. Examples include: + Linear Bar diffuser ideal for along windows to create an air curtain + Two-Way or Three-Way diffusers could also be used in low-ceiling applications where additional, indirect airflow rather than destratification is desired + Concise column of air that takes the conditioned air directly to the floor, eliminating hot and cold spots and destratifying the space + Avoid four-way or 360 radial flow diffusers to avoid short cycling 6
Highly Configurable System Layout Options Configurable with multiple points of exhaust or intake Distance between components can be lengthened in order to extend run, horizontally or vertically Intake and/or exhaust can be installed vertically in a wall ideal for moving air from a high, central ceiling to a low, drop-ceiling perimeter Multiple Exhaust Multiple Intake Multiple Exhaust 7
Highly Configurable System Air Purification Options Intake Filter Standard 20 x 20 x 1 filter Localized filtration at a low cost, ideal for removing larger contaminants such as mold spores, dust, and pollen Optional Filter on Intake UVGI (Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation) Unit An available activated carbon and HEPA-style filter combined with a UVGI system for 99%+ removal of bacteria Safe, effective and energy-efficient way to purify the air Easy-to-install modular design and inline plug-and-play make this option an easy add-on UVGI Unit 8
IMPROVE COMFORT LOWER OPERATING COSTS REDUCE CARBON FOOTPRINT CONCLUSIONS ZOO Fans In-Ceiling Fan System is an effective, low-cost strategy for drop ceilings at heights from 8 to 50 for accomplishing ANY OR ALL of the following objectives: Destratification eliminate hot and cold spots, lower operating costs, improve comfort Increased Air Circulation improve comfort, lower operating costs Reduce Carbon Footprint HVAC systems run less, which reduces energy consumption and maintenance & repair expense, and extends equipment life Air Purification a cleaner, safer environment ATTRACTIVE, STREAMLINED DESIGN EXTREMELY QUIET HIGH QUALITY COMPONENTS 9
Q: How was this system designed? Will it interfere with my existing HVAC or disrupt a return plenum above the ceiling? A: The ZOO Fans In-Ceiling System is completely enclosed. Although there is equipment above the ceiling, it is a closed-loop design. This package was assembled with the work of fan engineers, HVAC experts, fan and duct manufacturers; the components are matched to guarantee effective and efficient operation. Q: Do I need the custom controller you offer? Q & A A: No, but you will probably want some controller manual or BMS interface are other possible options. Whatever you decide and we can help it s very important that the controller matches the motor and has the functionality you require, otherwise fan motors may not run efficiently or, even worse, will be damaged. Q: How many units will I need what is their coverage? What s the best layout for my particular application? A: Coverage depends on a number of variables: ceiling height, your particular layout, and your primary objective (see Conclusions, above). Just give us a call with your square footage and ceiling height and we can help! Q: What kind of payback period should I expect? A: It depends on your current operational focus heating or cooling your climate, building envelope and a number of other factors. The U.S. Department of Energy reviewed over 600 jobs designed to improve air circulation using destratification fans/other methods and found an average payback of less than two years. This is, as stated, an average. We suggest a range of 6-36 months is realistic give us your particulars and we can help with your projections. 855 ZOO FANS (855-966 3267) Call or Click Today! zoofans.com 10
