ACCESS SOLUTIONS GATES Galaxy Gate Technical information Functions Two-directional operation The Galaxy Gate makes passage from two directions possible. If people from both directions would like to pass through simultaneously, the person who activates the read unit for opening first takes precedence. Individual opening After each opening cycle, the swivel arms of the Galaxy Gate reopen fully, and only then can the next clearance take place. Can be combined with multiple opening. Multiple opening Another person can clear the next opening cycle whilst the current opening cycle is running. The swivel arms of the Galaxy Gate stay open, and close when the last person has left the swivel area. Can be combined with individual opening. Guard against reverse passage In the event of malfunction or if there is unauthorised access in the entry and exit direction, the reverse passage guard initiates the immediate closing of the swivel arms and/or activates an acoustic voice announcement or alarm signal. Slow closing To protect individuals and objects during passage. The speed at which the swivel arms move is braked, meaning that they close at reduced speed. Swivel arm manipulation If one of the swivel arms is pressed on (panic opening), held in place, or influenced during a malfunction, an alarm signal sounds. The swivel arms then automatically return to the home position. Escape route In the event of an emergency, the swivel arms can be opened in both directions. They can be pivoted freely when not supplied with power, and reset automatically when the power is switched back on. Alarm/silent alarm (optional) In the event of swivel arm manipulation, individuals climbing over or crawling under, unauthorised access and panic opening. Acoustic voice announcement (optional) Alarm sounds and voice announcements in MP3 format. Fire alarm contact (optional) Break contact connection to central fire alarm system.
