GROUNDING & BONDING This course is designed to give the student the necessary fundamental knowledge that is required in order to properly install safe electrical installations. Much of the focus is geared on the why in order to provide the student with a true, in-depth understanding of what he/she is trying to accomplish when installing these systems and equipment. By ensuring that the student truly understands the purpose of a given grounding or bonding connection, he/she will have an easier time of selecting the proper materials and methods necessary for the installation at hand. As a secondary focus, the how is described in detail in order to ensure proper field connections of grounding and bonding equipment. The program uses the Soares Grounding & Bonding Power Point Presentation developed by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. It follows the first half of the slides in that program.
