1 PPG meter instrument for power paragliding Power paragliding meter serves to telemetry basic parameters of your paramotor, to warrant calm and satisfied flight for you PPG meter is made in two version: PPG meter with external battery for paramotor with electric starter PPG meter with internal battery standard 9V battery PPG meter is equipment by five basic sensors : RPM sensors air temperature sensor CHT temperature sensor EGT temperature sensor fuel gauge Sensors CHT and EGT you can swap betwen with each other, and also replace by water and oil sensors. Function of PPG meter: RPM meter fuel gauge engine timers 3 pcs thermometers 3 pcs max. temperatures max. RPM alarm for temperaturecht and EGT alarm for fuel gauge setting of time to servise For PPG meter was used universal sensors, which are using in aircraft industry - It is thermocouple sensors type K

2 Part of PPG meter is spark plug sensor CHT and air sensor. For twin cylinder and four stroke engines you can use two CHT sensors, water and oil sensors, atc. After switch on PPG meter says hallo and informs you about time to service. PPG meter has two basic mode : mode with actual measured information mode with saved information, and also for basic seting For controling of PPG meter you use one control button, which serves to switch on PPG meter, switching between displays, enters to edit and save setting When you don t use PPG meter, engine is stoped, PPG meter switch off. Mode with actual information : information about two temp.(cht or EGT), engine timer which is automatically reset by switching-off and on again on PPG meter, and RPM. information about one temp.(cht or EGT), engine rpm and engine timer which is automatically reset by switching-off and on again on PPG meter and fuel. TEMPERATURE 1 TIMER TEMPERATURE 2 RPM TEMPERATURE. 1 TIMER FUEL OOOOOOOO Those two displays you can switch between with each other by short push on control button. You can choose, which information do you want.

Mode with saved information, and also for basic seting In this mode you enter in by long push on control button. 3 Two flight engine timers which you can reset whenever you want.. FLIGHT ENGINE TIMER Two max. temperatures which you can reset whenever you want. MAX.TEMPERATURES Setting of alarm for temp. no-1, on display with fuel gauge. ALARM TEMPERATURE 1 Setting of alarm for temperature no- 2, on display with RPM. Max. rpm which you can reset whenever you want. Setting detection rpm ( one turm of engine = two ignition pulse ). Yes / No. Setting of Fuel gauge ALARM TEMPERATURE 2 MAX. RPM SETTING RPM DETECTION FUEL GAUGE Setting of time to servise which you can change whenever you want. TIME TO SERVICE

4 Mode with actual information : Display no. 1 actual information On actual display you have an information about two temperature (CHT or EGT), engine timer which is automatically reset by switchingoff and on again on PPG meter and RPM. Range of temperature is from 0 C ( F) to plus 800 C (1480 F). If you have connected temperature sensors, you can see at display actual temperature. If you have not connected tempereture sensor, you see at display value the same as on air sensor. This signes an unconnected temperature sensor. RPM meter displays actual rpm of you engine. There is an engine timer on the display and is timing of running engine. When the engine is not running, timer is stopped. When you start engine again, timer resumes at timing. If you switch PPG Meter off, engine timer on display no.1 is reset. Display no. 2 actual information On actual display you have an information about one temperature ( CHT or EGT), engine rpm and engine timer which is automatically reset by switching-off and on again on PPG meter and Fuel gauge. Range of temperature is from 0 C( F) to plus 800 C(1480 F). If you have connected temperature sensors, you can see at display actual temperature. If you have not connected tempereture sensor, you see at display value the same as on air sensor. This signes an unconnected temperature sensor. There is an engine timer on the display and is timing of running engine. When the engine is not running, timer is stopped. When you start engine again, timer resumes at timing. Display no. 1 flight engine timers Two flight engine timers which you can reset whenever you want. These timers are timing of engine runnig and stays saved after switch off the PPG Meter. You can be timing on your paramotor a year, a month, a week, atc. Controling of PPG Meter: short push on control button : changes-over individual display and changes numerical value. long push on control button ( 3 sec ) :enters to edit and save setting. Reseting of flight engine timer at display no. 2 : By long push on control button you enter in display no. 1 and blink first line. By short push on control button you can choose first or second line. Actual line blink. By long push on control buton you can delete actual dates and save this modification. Display no. 2 max. temperatures Two max. temperatures which you can reset whenever you want. Reseting of max. temperatures at display no. 2 : By short push on control button you enter in display no. 2. menu and blink first temp. By short push on control button you can choose first or second temp. Actual temp. blink.

6 By long push on control button you can delete actual temp. and save this modification Display no. 3 alarm temperature 1 Setting of alarm for temperature no-1. After overrun of set value is activated an interrupted alarm for this temperature - red indicator and on display is displayed information about overrange of parameter which was excess. Setting of alarm temperature 1 at display no. 3 : By short push on control button you enter in display no. 3. menu and blink value of temperature no. 1 By short push on control button you can change value of alarm temperature no. 1. By long push on control button you save this modification. Display no. 4 alarm temperature 2 Setting of alarm for temperature no-2. Display no. 5 max rpm and set of detection rpm meter Max. rpm which you can reset whenever you want and setting detection rpm -one turn of engine = two ignition pulse ). Yes / No

Some engines have ignitions with two ignition pulse in one turn of engine. When you use for this type of engine setting with one ignition pulse, the rpm meter will display a double value of rpm. Setting of max. rpm and detection of rpm at display no. 5 : 7 By short push on control button you enter in display no. 5. menu and blink value of max. rpm. By short push on control button you can choose first or second line. Actual line blink. By long push on control button you can delete value of max. rpm or you can set detection of rpm and save this modification. Display no.6 fuel gauge Setting of fuel gauge is conform to various design of tank. You can set maximal, central and minimal level of gas in tank. By short push on control button you enter in display no. 6. By long push on control button you enter in edit menu and blink value 100% of fuel gauge You fill tank by gas and long push on control button you save this value of fuel gauge. Another by long push on control button you enter in edit menu and blink value 100% of fuel gauge. By short push on control button you switch at value 50 % You fill tank by gas and long push on control button you save this value of fuel gauge. Another by long push on control button you enter in edit menu and blink value 100% of fuel gauge. By short push on control button you switch at value 0 % You empty tank or you can keep in tank any reserve and long push on control button you save this value of fuel gauge. Alarm for fuel gauge will be interrupted blink by red indicator and on display is displayed information about reserve of gas in tank in the moment, when will be display last level from 8 displayed.

8 Display no. 7 time to service Setting of time to servise which you can change whenever you want. When you set for example value of 50 hours, you will see at this display time of your service. This value you can see after switching your PPG meter on, too. Setting of time to service at display no. 7 : By short push on control button you enter in display no. 7. menu and blink value of time to service. By short push on control button you can change value of time to service. By long push on control button you save this modification. Technical parameters and mounting of PPG Meter. Power supply : 7-22V For version of PPG Meter for electric version of paramotors. You have to wire the long red wire in ( + battery ) and long black wire ( - battery ) in paramotor. You can use for example charging connector of your paramotor. For correct running of PPG Meter must be interconnected long black wire (- battery ) with skelet of engine. It is neccessary for both version of PPG meters ( external and internal battery) Temperature sensors: Temperature no 1 and 2 : 0 800 C or 0 1480 F Two blach adn blue conector. Detection tachometer : You must roll on about 2-3 turn of long hard black wire round high voltage cable. This wire is necessary for scanning for RPM Meter and flight engine timers.
