Assemble tls Flat Blade Screwdriver Wire cutter & Stripper L L L Make sure yur Heater/Air nditiner is wrking prperly befre beginning installatin f the thermstat. arefully unpack the thermstat. Save the screws, bracket, and instructins. Turn ff the pwer t the Heating/Air nditining system at the main fuse panel. Mst residential systems have a separate breaker fr discnnecting pwer t the furnace. Page 2

Lsen the screws hlding the thermstat base r subbase t the wall, and lift away. Discnnect the wires frm the ld thermstat. Tape the ends f the wires as yu discnnect them, and mark them with the letter f the terminal fr easy recnnectin t the new thermstat. Keep the ld thermstat fr reference purpses, until yur new thermstat is functining prperly. Page 3

Under nrmal circumstances there will never be a need t recalibrate the thermstat again. T accmmdate special needs, the thermstat may be recalibrated fllwing these steps: 1. While hlding the mde buttn in, press the fan buttn fr 5 secnds. After all the icns in the display appear, release the buttns. 2. Press the Up and Dwn buttns simultaneusly, twice. 3. Press the up r dwn buttns until the flashing number equals the current rm temperature. 4. Press the mde buttn t return t nrmal peratin. Page 7

Press the Up r Dwn buttns until the set temperature is 10 degrees abve rm temperature. The furnace shuld turn n. Press the MDE buttn repeatedly until the L icn appears n the display. Press the Up r Dwn buttns until the set temperature is 10 degrees belw rm temperature. The air cnditiner shuld turn n. NTE: Mst equipment has a time delay f 5 minutes between cl cycles. This feature is defeatable n the thermstat. nsult the wner's Manual under Setup, cycles per hur. Press the MDE buttn t FF. Press the FAN buttn t Fan n. The fan shuld turn n and run cntinuusly. Page 8

AUSE: There is nt enugh pwer available t "pwer share". EMEDY: nnect a 2 hm, 10 watt pwer resistr at the furnace as shwn belw. Fr Prblem A/ Fr Prblem Heat W Y W Y L L T300-10w SYMPTM: The air cnditining des nt attempt t turn n. AUSE: The cmpressr timer lckut may prevent the air cnditiner frm turning n, fr a perid f time. EMEDY: nsult the wner's Manual in the Setup sectin t defeat the cycles per hur and cmpressr timeguard. SYMPTM: The display is blank. AUSE: Lack f prper pwer.
