State Fire Marshal Gary West and Randy Safer, NFPA Regional Manager made welcoming remarks. Director John Hall made a presentation on the Research Foundation Report Measuring Code Compliance Effectiveness Report. A presentation was made on the Doc Info Page. A presentation was made on the revised NFPA Codes and Standards Making Process. Chair Farr review the purpose of meeting and document schedule. Fred Brower of ISO gave a presentation on the proposed update to the ISO Fire Suppression Rating schedule. Discussion was held on document content, layout, task groups, etc. Motion made, seconded, and accepted to have different chapters for code enforcement, plan examiner, public education, and fire investigation. Motion made, seconded, and accepted to have the document cover all types of fire prevention organizations (i.e. career, volunteer, and combination). Motion made, seconded, and accepted to develop the document as a standard. Discussion was held on the formatting of chapters. It was agreed to use the 1201 model as the basis.
