(2) Make sure that the circuit breaker that follows is closed: LOCATION CB NUMBER CB NAME ZONE CBP 5 A8 EXT SERV 311 (3) Open the access doors that follow: ACCESS 311BB 172AR Door, Aft Equipment Compartment Door, Potable Water Servicing Point E. Procedure Refer to Figure 301. (1) Put a container below the drain mast (1) to catch the water from the lavatory water tank. (2) Turn the drain handle (6) a quarter turn clockwise and pull it out to the open position. (3) Turn the drain handle (6) a quarter turn counterclockwise. (4) Make sure the drain handle is locked into position. (5) Water will flow from the drain mast. (6) Make sure the EMPTY light comes on when the water flow stops. (7) Turn the drain handle (6) a quarter turn clockwise and push it in to the closed position. (8) Turn the drain handle (6) a quarter turn counterclockwise. (9) Make sure the drain handle is locked in position. (10) Remove the cap (7) from the fill adapter (8). (11) Connect the fill hose of the clean water ground fill unit to the fill adapter (8). (12) Put the switch (4) to ON. (13) Start the flow of clean water from the ground fill unit to the lavatory water system. (14) Stop the flow when all of the FULL lights (3) come ON on the panel. (15) Put the switch (4) to OFF. (16) Remove the fill hose from the fill adapter (8). (17) Put the cap (7) on the fill adapter (8). F. Close Out (1) Remove all tools, equipment, and unwanted materials from the work area. Job Set Up (1) Open the access door that follows: ACCESS 172CR Door, Waste Water Servicing Point D. Procedure Refer to Figure 302. WARNING: USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO THE SERVICING OF THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM. WASTE WATER CAN GET ON YOUR HANDS AND CAUSE INFECTION. (1) Pull up on the handle and open the waste valve cap (4). (2) Pull up on the handle and open the fill port cap (5). Page 305
(3) Connect the fill hose of the clean water ground fill unit to the fill port (6). (4) Connect the waste drain hose from the toilet servicing unit to the waste valve (3). (5) Push the valve lever (2) to open. (6) Turn the handle (1) a quarter turn counterclockwise and pull it out to the open position. (7) Turn the handle (1) a quarter turn clockwise. (8) Make sure the handle (1) is locked in position. (9) Make sure you hear the sound of the liquid flow before you start to flush the system. CAUTION: DO NOT CONTINUE TO FLUSH THE SYSTEM IF YOU THINK THERE IS A BLOCKAGE. THE WATER PRESSURE MAY CAUSE THE CONTENTS OF THE TANK TO FLOW OUT OF THE TOP OF THE TOILET. (10) Start the flow of clean water from the ground fill unit to the waste water system. (11) Let the water flow through the system until the flow in the supply hose and the waste hose are approximately equal. (12) Turn the handle (1) a quarter turn counterclockwise and push it in to the closed position. (13) Turn the handle (1) a quarter turn clockwise. (14) Fill the tank with approximately 12 gallons (45 liters) of clean water. (15) Open the handle (1) and let the water drain from the tank. (16) Close the handle (1). (17) Remove the hose from the waste valve (3). NOTE: The valve lever (2) has a spring that will close automatically when you close the waste valve cap (4). (18) Close the waste valve cap (4). (19) Make sure the spring releases the valve lever (2). (20) Remove the hose from the fill port (6). (21) Close the fill port cap (5). (22) Open the fill port cap (5). (23) Attach the fill hose from the toilet servicing unit to the fill port (6). Page 306
(24) For Styx 99 Toilet Fluid, prepare a mixture of 293.51 oz (8 680.27 ml) of clean water and 0.67 oz (19.73 ml) of Styx 99 fluid. (25) Fill the toilet tank with 294.27 oz (8 700 ml) of chemical/water solution. (26) Remove the hose from the fill port (6). (27) Close the fill port cap (5). E.
