Electric Wall Fireplace User s Operating Manual Consumer Safety Information Please read this manual before installing and operating this appliance Warning!!! If the information in this manual is not followed exactly, an electric shock or fire may result in property damage, personal injury or loss of life. Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids near this appliance. Safety Feature: This unit has an internal thermal overload protector. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will automatically shut off. Operation can only resume when the unit is reset. (See instructions below) To Reset Heater: Unplug the heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down. After 10 minutes, plug the heater in again and follow the Operating Instructions described in this manual. Important Operating and Safety Instructions CAUTION: High temperatures! Keep draperies, electrical cords and other furnishings at least 3 feet from the front, sides and rear of heater. WARNING: --Risk of fire Keep combustible material away from the front of the electrical fireplace. --Service should be performed only while the electrical fireplace is disconnected from power supply. Important Operating And Safety Information When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons including the following: 1. Read all instructions before using this appliance. 2. This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, don t let bare skin touch hot surfaces. The air grille at the top of this heater in particular will become hot when the heater is in use. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, curtains and etc. at least 3 feet(0.9m) away from the front of the appliance. Keep all items away from the sides and back of the appliance and take special care not to block the air intake or exhaust vents. Use handles when moving this heater. 3. Extreme caution is necessary when the appliance is near children and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended. 4. Do not operate the appliance if the power cord or plug has been damaged or the heater has been damaged or malfunctioned in any way. Do not use outdoors. 5. Do not use the appliance in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate the appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. 6. Do not run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Position the cord away from high traffic areas and such that it can not be tripped over. 7. To disconnect the appliance, turn all controls OFF, then remove the plug from the outlet.

8. This appliance has a polarized plug. This appliance must be connected to properly grounded outlets only. This plug will fit fully in an outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. Do not change the plug in any way. 9. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the appliance. 10. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces like a bed, where openings may become blocked. 11. A heater has hot and sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored. 12. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 13. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocate power tap. 14. Do not attempt to burn wood or other materials in this heater. 15. When transporting or storing the heater, keep both the unit and power cord/plug dry, free from excessive vibration and away from heat sources. Maintenance Note Light bulbs may become loose during shipping. If the flame effect is dim or does not operate properly at first, ensure that the light bulbs are properly secured in the sockets (bulbs should be finger tighten, but do not over tighten). See Replacing Light Bulbs Section of the manual for instructions. When you first turn the heater on, it may emit a slight but harmless odor resulting from certain oils or greases being heated as the appliance is used for the first time. This odor is perfectly safe and will stop shortly. It will not reoccur after the first operation of this appliance. This appliance comes equipped with an overheat protection safety device. Should the appliance begin to overheat for any reason, it will automatically turn all heater functions of the appliance off. The appliance will have to be reset prior to continuing use. To reset the overheat protection safety device, turn all controls off and unplug the appliance, wait 10 minutes, plug the appliance back in and turn on. Warning: Before attempting to perform any maintenance on this appliance, turn all controls to the OFF position and unplug. Allow the appliance to be OFF For at least 10 minutes before performing any maintenance in order to allow all components to cool properly. Replacing Light Bulbs: 1. Take off the front glass panel. 2. Remove the four screws from the side panel, located on the front of the unit, and remove front panel. 3. Locate and examine the bulbs to determine which bulb(s) require replacement. 4. Unscrew the bulb(s) counter clockwise. 5. Insert new bulb(s). Warning: Do not exceed the recommended Bulb wattage. Use only 120V, 40W candelabra base light bulb, the lamp holder is model E12. Light Bulbs Front panel Screws Cleaning 1. To remove dust from glass window, please use clean dry cloth. 2. To remove fingerprints or other marks from glass window, please use clean damp cloth. Do not spray glass cleaner or other liquids directly onto the window. 3. Clean metal surfaces with a clean damp cloth making sure not to push dust or debris into any air intake or exhaust vents. 4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquids on any part of the appliance.

Positioning/Locating Your Electric Fireplace When choosing a location for your new fireplace, ensure that the general instructions are properly followed. For best result, install the fireplace out of direct sunlight. Installation Instructions Before beginning installation of product make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and drawing above. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble, install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts. Estimated Assembly Time: 15 minutes Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screw driver, Drill, Hammer, Leveler WALL MOUNTING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Choose a wall location to attach the mounting bracket (E). Position the mounting bracket (E) in the desired location. Use a leveler to align the bracket and mark the holes locations with a pencil. (One screw must be attached directly into a wall stud. Wall anchor is not needed for this one screw). 2.Put the plastic expansion (B) anchors into the holes, use the screws to mount the plate. 3.Fix the L bracket (D) mounting part on the bottom of the fireplace, hang the fireplace on the fixed mounting plate, mark the correct positions for the two holes on the L bracket (D) mounting part, drill the holes and put in the expansions anchors, hang on the fireplace and screw securely. 4. Hang the front glass panel for the fireplace.

Operating Instructions Control Panel Operating Procedures NOTE: When you first turn the heater on, it may emit a slight but harmless odor. B C D A Using the Control Panel: Master Power Switch (A) Open the cover and push button A down (1) to on position.(see Figure A) Flame Effect Push (On/Off) button or (On/Off) button on the remote control to begin flame effect. The red power light will automatically come on. The flame effect can be adjusted by pressing or dimmer button on the remote control. When pressed, the flame effect will cycle from high to low. Press the dimmer button on the remote control again to lock in desired flame brightness. This brightness will be kept until the dimmer button on the remote control is pressed again. Heat Setting 1. Turning on Master Power Switch (A) and O/I (On/Off) button or O/I button on the remote control. 2. Press button on unit or remote control to activate the low heater setting. The red light above will indicate that the heater is functioning on low. 3. Press button on unit or remote control again to shut off the heater. 4. Press button on unit or remote control to active the high heater setting. The red lights above the buttons will indicate that the heater is functioning on high. 5. Press button on unit or remote control again to shut off the heater. Electrical Connection Grounding Instructions This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for the electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord with an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service technician if the grounding plug does not fit the outlet. Have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has grounding plug that looks like that plug illustrated below. Make

sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product. NOTE: A 15AMP,120 Volts circuit is required. Dedicated circuit is preferred but not essential in all cases, a dedicated circuit will be required if, after installation, the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows on a regular basis when the heater is operating. Additional appliance on the same circuit may exceed the current rating of the circuit break. WARNING: 1. Ensure the power cord is not installed so that it is pinched or against a sharp edge and ensure that the power cord is stored or secured to avoid tripping or snagging to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 2. Construction and electrical outlet wiring must comply with local building codes and other applicable regulations to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons. 3. Do not attempt to wire your own new outlets or circuits. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons, always use a licensed electrician. Before Using This Appliance: 1. Before permanently placing your electric fireplace, plug it into a convenient outlet to verify that the circuit breakers for the outlet are on. 2. Light bulbs may become loose during shipping, if the flame effect is dim or does not operate properly at first, ensure that the light bulbs are properly secured in the sockets (bulbs should be finger tightened, don t over tighten) see Replacing Light Bulb section of this manual for instructions. 3. The information regarding this appliance can be found on the rating plate located on the back of the unit. Plugging In the Heater: 1. Make sure the appliance main I/O is switch OFF(refer to operating instruction section). 2. Plug the unit into a no less 15Amp/120V outlet. To operate the appliance using the remote control, the Master Power Switch (A) must be in the ON position. TROUBLESHOOTING Warning: Turn off the appliance, unplug and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting to service.
