Existing Operating Environment 80+ different digital signage and display technologies today. No college wide standard. Several different solutions currently in use: PowerPoint driven displays Various digital signage solutions various vendors various technologies Support and knowledge of these solutions tends to be isolated.

Existing Operating Environment Solutions do not integrate into the College s emergency broadcast system. We cannot target our communications. Support is not consistent or easy. The look and feel varies by product and solution. The model is not sustainable.

Future Operating Environment Information Technology Services (ITS) Maintain the infrastructure. Ensure business continuity. Provide support. College Ancillary Services (CAS) The conduit for internal and external stakeholders to post content. Will manage the advertising on the digital screens.

Future Operating Environment College Departments Would assign local Content Coordinators. Trained will be provided. Will have the ability to add their content to identified content windows on their screens. If a department wishes to exhibit content in other areas of the College, then a digital request would be submitted. Student Clubs/Initiatives A web application available to students to load their content through a vetted medium.

WE NEED YOUR INPUT Task: With your colleagues at the table, please complete the loaded survey on the device provided or on your own device using the following link: http://algonquincollege.fluidsurveys.com/s/digitalscreen/

Your input Task: Please spend 10 minutes per question so we can make sure we get your insight on each question. Please note: This form will also be posted online and a link provided following the session should you wish to add any additional insight or comments. 1. To help us identify issues to address, please list some specific challenges you face with your current digital screen solution. 2. In the near future, we will be going out to Request for Proposal (RFP) to invite submissions from vendors. What features do you see as essential to include in the new solution? 3. What features do you see as nice to include in the new solution? 4. Any additional comments or suggestions.

Next Steps For the project team: Gather input from college departments. Define system requirements and issue a RFP. Craft Digital Signage Policy. Establish a phased approached (as required) given the outcome of the RFP. For you: Opportunity for more input. Follow further communications.

THANK YOU
