A technologically-styled stimulating and attractive space conceptualized by Fashion and Art which the world of Design is adopting for the first time through space&interiors. A few steps away from Gae Aulenti Square, Corso Como, the historical Principe di Savoia Hotel, and the Garibaldi and Centrale railway stations, the Repubblica, Gioia and Garibaldi underground stations servicing lines 2, 3 and 5, and suburban metropolitan lines. Over 500 car parking spaces are available in public parking points adjacent to the structure.
Visiting space&interiors will be an immersive, multisensorial experience. Amongst the successful ingredients distinguishing the event: The New Components Code collateral exhibition arranged by internationally recognized Studio Migliore+Servetto Architects, offers a sensitive interpretation of solutions presented by exhibitors, thanks to the opportunity of product placement in tight harmony with the commercial exposition AN INNOVATIVE CONCEPT AT THE SERVICE OF BUSINESS The exhibition space, with simple but most carefully dressed stands, contributes to creating a welcoming and dynamic atmosphere as well as highlighting the quality of individual products The exclusive Lounge placed at the disposal of exhibitors for their business meetings, will add an element of glamour to the Design Week
A project of innovating conception of the exposition space, as designed by Migliore + Servetto Architects for the first edition of space&interiors, in the heart of the Porta Garibaldi Mall. The set-up is developed along a double theme: commercial on the one hand, with in-depth interpretation of individual products on show, and analytical on the other, with direct comparisons between them. Injecting life into a journey taking the visitor on the discovery of a world of excellence. At the centre of the hall and in other relevant spaces a considered selection of the most significant materials from each company will be displayed, allowing for an osmotic exchange between the various areas to create a fluid and dynamic rapport passing continuously from one area to another. An installation animated with dynamic lights and projections which invites the visitor to scan it without losing sight of the exposition spaces, but actually framing the overall visual aspect. The exposition spaces facing the central promenade are enhanced by an original structure, designed to draw the visitors attention and invite them to approach and be welcomed within. Exploiting the characteristics of the space, each dressed area is also developed vertically, offering various levels for interpretation. Near the two entrances visitors are met with, on the one side, the lounge area, a space reserved for encounters and made available to companies for meetings, and on the other the infopoint where brochures focusing on the products may be found. MIGLIORE+SERVETTO Architects Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto have been selected because they create projects designed as active communication interfaces between companies or institutions and people, in which a lightness of design is added to a strong scenographic effect in order to bring engaging and high impact sites to life. They have worked with companies of the calibre of Altagamma, Beijing Design Fair, Bticino Group, De Padova, Pedrali, Technogym, Tod s, Wallpaper*magazine UK, Abitare RCS, and on projects such as the Torino Egyptian Museum, the Warsaw Chopin Museum, Meet Design: Design Time Beijing. Their projects have earned them prizes and recognition, amongst which; two ADI Golden Compass awards (2014 and 2008); four ADI honourable mentions; the German Design Award (Ger); two FX Interior Design Awards (UK); six Red Dot Awards (Ger); the Annual Exhibit Design Award (USA) and the International Design Award (USA).
NEW COMPONENTS CODE EXHIBITION COMPANIES PRODUCTS WILL BE INTERPRETED IN A DOUBLE KEY A MATERIC KEY At least one product of each company will be physically displayed in one of the fitted areas of the exhibition. These components will be turned into iconic examples of new codes in Architecture: with a personal and stylish interpretation Migliore+Servetto s design will highlight the role of each product. A MULTIMEDIA KEY New relationships between product images and the visitors will be established by multimedia installations. Migliore+Servetto Studio will select a single product from a few spotted in the companies catalogues. Products will have to be supplied according to the time table set up by the organizers.
Booths are fitted according to a stylish formula that responds to the whole design of Migliore+Servetto Studio who will intervene also in the company s inner set-up of the booths modular structure with panels H 300 cm; lockable storage room; carpeting on the floor; spotlights; electrical panel, one 220v power socket (3-ways) each 24 sqm, for a total of 1200 watts; vertical full height panel with company s name and booth number; vertical board L100 x H500 cm with graphic design by Migliore+Servetto Architects who will interpret in a narrative key the companies products; furnishing: n.1 table, n. 3 chairs., n.1 wastepaper basket, n.1 coat rack EXHIBITING SPACE
