Venue The Symposium will take place in Smolenice Congress Centre located on foothills of Little Carpathians Mountains (Malé Karpaty) approx. 60 km to the northwest of Bratislava: http://kcsmolenice.sav.sk/?lng=sk&charset=&doc=basinfo&lng=en&charset=ascii Symposium programme 18 September (Tue) - registration at the venue 19 21 September (Wed-Fri) - paper and poster sessions, a joint dinner, excursion Detailed programme will be provided in February 2018. Important dates 1 December 2017 - start of registration 15 March 2018 - deadline for submission of abstracts 15 April 2018 - acceptance of contributions annouced (papers/posters) 30 June 2018 - deadline for the regular fee payments 31 August 2018 - deadline for submission of full papers Registration Registration is compulsory for all conference participants (including members of the scientific board, organizing committee, invited speakers). To register please fill in the registration form available. You will receive an acknowledgement within the following 10 days. Your registration will be completed and valid after having paid the symposium fee. Participation to the Symposium is not conditioned by a presentation or a poster, only by a valid registration. The deadline for the fee transfer (money received at the account) is 30 June 2018. Abstract and Proceedings Language of the Symposium and proceedings is English.

Publication of abstracts and full papers will be possible only for authors with valid registration. Full texts of papers and posters presented at the Symposium can be published: - in journal Ekológia (Bratislava) International Journal for Ecological Problems of the Biosphere (https://www.degruyter.com/view/j/eko) - peer-reviewed book of proceedings (its first volume will contain selected contribution and will be applied for indexing in the Web of Science (Thomson-Reuters) - in journal Ekologické štúdie (Ecological Studies) - is a domestic peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute in collaboration with the Slovak Ecological Society (SEKOS) and the Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. Details of the contributions (abstracts, full text paper) will be sent in the second annoucement. Post-conference excursion fee: 50 for cultural/historical trip. Destinations will be specified later (see the programme in the second annoucement). Please make the payment for the post-conference excursion together with the Symposium fee. Payment details:

Acommodation The congress centre provides also accommodation facilities. The accommodation could be paid directly on place (only by cash). The costs could be specified in advance according to participant s requirements.
