Unilux recommends strobe lighting levels be at least four times brighter than the ambient lighting. Peak light output is 2500 LUX (20 µsec flash duration) @ 6,000 F/M from a 35cm(14in) distance to the target.
Inspection Lighting Re-imagined Unilux continues to expand its inspection solutions with latest generation of stroboscopic inspection lights. The Unilux LED2000 Series strobe light family combines operational and environmental benefits of LEDs with the power of xenon-based strobes. The new lights deliver: Increased inspection capabilities enabled by control of flash rate and flash duration, softer light for highly reflective surfaces, and smaller size for more flexible mounting options; More evenly distributed light across the entire web, achieved by new lens designs; Greater operating efficiency, including only 25% to 35% of the power consumption of traditional strobe lights and longer lamp life for lower maintenance costs; Environmental benefits, including no ozone emissions. The Unilux LED2000 family includes six models from the 250 to the 2500 covering widths of 250mm (10in) to 2.9m (9.5ft) depending on mounting location and ambient lighting control to help best match inspection requirements. NEW DESIGN, BRIGHTER FUTURE... LIGHT EMITTING DIODES (LEDs) LEDs are solid state and do not use a gas to create illumination. As a result, LED technology allows strobe lights to be built into virtually any shape or size, and the projected light pattern can be tailored to fit almost any application. Diodes prevent complete burnout which halts inspection, leading to greater manufacturing and cost efficiencies. White Light Emission The LED2000 inspection lights emit an excellent white light approaching the visible spectrum of sunlight, revealing the true colors of the inspected material. Easy Expansion Chain up to ten lights to provide additional flexibility to meet usage requirements. Flexible Mounting The slim profile with hinged mounting yoke allows installation in tight or inaccessible areas such as bridle roll areas or any frame member of a typical label press. Re-orient the controller end cap depending on position and location of light. Improved Lens Design The new lens design concentrates the light output and reduces spillage into areas outside the intended target. The result is a more uniform output where hot-spots and arc wander no longer occur. Constant On The strobe can provide a simulated constant on lighting effect that can be used for illuminating the production line without requiring additional incandescent or fluorescent lights. multiple Triggering Options The LED2000 Series strobes accept external synchronization signals from Isolated Pulse, Open Collector and Contact Closure drivers as well as signals from an optional encoder wheel for automatic synchronization to a system s line speed. Independent Light Intensity Settings Operators can choose between three intensity settings for Constant On and internal/ external triggering options. Greater Flash Rate Range Choose from 0 to 50,000 FPM to cover all combinations of repeat patterns and line speeds. Adjustable Flash Duration Choose from 2 to 100 µsec to maximize detailed inspection needs. Higher durations increase the apparent brightness provided by the strobe, while decreasing the ability of the strobe to freeze the target. Shorter durations decrease the apparent brightness while increasing the clarity. Extensive Functional Controls Operators can fine-tune inspection parameters for each job including constant on timeout, encoder type, encoder wheel diameter, flash delay, flash duration, intensity, and flash rate.

It provides the same control features as the LED2000 Series control panel. Synchronize the flash rate to your line speed using industry standard 0-10V or 4-20mA signaling. For automatic web synchronization, the Rotary Encoder is designed to ride the web material and provide a signal to the strobe that is proportional to the speed of the web. 60/500/1000 PPR Use the Splitter Cable in conjunction with the Interconnect Cable to link multiple strobes in a daisy chain fashion. Terminate both ends of a daisy chained network by using the Termination Plug.
