Roller blinds Power and motors... Fascia types and installation... Outstanding and flawless manufacturing techniques meet the intricacies of electric motor systems as Origin make use of the Lutron System for our Electric Roller Blinds. One of just 6 manufacturers in the UK, Origin have been handpicked in order to be able to offer the privilege. Lutron are the world s leading specialist in lighting control, blinds and shading systems. The motor used in this system runs off a sophisticated electronic drive system, which enables a nigh on silent operation. Origin Electric Roller Blinds are available as either battery or mains powered, both of which are completely child safe with no hanging or unsightly chains or cords, providing complete peace of mind. The expected lifespan of the battery is between 3-5 years. When it s time for replacement, it s simply a case of swapping the battery out. From here, the amount of blind panels/ drops required needs to be decided. This is a matter of personal choice. For example, if the blinds are intended to go across a three door set of bi-folds, the possible options are to have one panel per door leaf, one panel for the lead door and then one panel going across the remaining two doors, or alternatively, having one blind panel going across all three panes. Restrictions may apply on this based on the maximum width of the fabric chosen. Blind panels can also operate independently. At this stage, more motors would be required. Rest assured - if multiple motors are specified, then all motors are pre-configured to synchronise with one another, ensuring that the panels rise and fall at the same speed in unison. The intelligent motors even boast a small in-built battery, so that if there s a power cut, they will remember where they are and will continue into position once the power returns. Origin Electric Roller Blinds are able to be specified with or without a fascia. If a fascia is chosen, it can either be squared or curved in shape. In terms of its colouring, this can be manufactured in any one of the 150 colours that Origin Doors and Windows can be, so they can easily blend in, or can even be used to create a stark contrast. Cleverly designed, the fascia ensures that when the blinds are up, the bottom bar goes fully inside, so it is completely out of sight with no fabric lipping out. If no fascia is preferred, then just the roll of fabric would be visible. Origin Electric Roller Blinds can be installed in two different ways; top or face mounted. This allows them to be installed in or outside of the recess. Depending on the stage of construction, the blinds can even be completely hidden in the reveal, giving the effect that the blinds descend from the ceiling. Nigh on silent operation. Then there s the fabrics With fascia Origin Electric Roller Blinds are available in an irresistible range of fabrics, boasting an extensive selection of colours, patterns and textures. Ranging from the subtle to the truly out there colours, there will definitely be a style available that can complement and add an additional dimension to any décor. Without fascia The smartly designed fascia even accommodates two different fabric types to be concealed within it, so while a blackout can be used at the back, a lighter fabric can be used internally, combining together to provide the ultimate shading solution. Origin fabrics are also available with a customisable design. This can be done through the printing of any supplied picture or design onto a fabric, providing the definitive personal touch. All fabrics are given a blackout rating, which is marked out of 5. The lower the rating, the more light that shines through. Inside the recess The fabrics in Origin Electric Roller Blinds also offer the facility of being easily changeable. Therefore, if an interior colour scheme is updated or changed, it doesn t mean the blind fabric has to remain. They can stay as fresh as the room s design. Pleated blinds Pleated blinds... The popular range of made-to-measure pleated blinds are able to deliver the practical final touch. Fitted neatly to the beading of the bi-fold door or window, it is a clean and crisp solution that offers a minimalistic look with maximum light and heat control. The snug fit on the glass minimises any light strikes, and also ensures that when doors are open or in the concertina position, the blinds will not bash around in the wind. If pleated blinds are being purchased at the same time as new doors or windows (or are going to be going on to existing Origin Doors or Windows), then they require no additional measuring post installation. Because it s calculated from the bead to bead size, this information can be extracted from the order or serial number, making it simple and straightforward to order. 5 YEAR GUARANTEE Made in BRITAIN A minimalistic look with maximum light and heat control. Power Options Pleated blinds for doors and windows are manually operated. For the likes of bigger expanses, such as roof lanterns or gables, a hard wired option is also on offer. These would feature larger pleats (20 or 25mm pleats as opposed to 16mm on manual). Colour Options Available in 8 attractive colours and tones, the delicate pleated fabric design can offer a subtle complement to a room s décor. Ranging from white and neutral tones through to black, all colour choices are fitted with a pearlescent solar coating on the back to refl ect as much heat and light as possible.
