Miele Cooktop Options Combined With An Oven The Miele H2260 E + KM6002 is a 24" electric cooktop and convection oven combination that offers a clean cooktop surface free of controls. The cooktop is operated via controls on the oven's fascia panel via a built-in wired connection. This 24" combination is a great option for condos or small kitchen layouts. Miele Intuitive User Controls Nothing should stand in the way of cooking. That is why Miele cooktops are intuitive to operate and offer a variety of innovative features. Controls including Direct Select Plus, DirectSelection and knob controls make cooking fun and easy. DirectSelection Cooking zones are controlled with a central numerical keybank. Power levels and times can be selected directly, quickly and intuitively. Setting the timer is extremely easy. Direct Select Plus Each cooking zone features its own dedicated set of linear back-lit numerical sensor touch controls for intuitive rapid selection of power settings and cooking durations so you don't even have to pre-select the cooking zone. Touch Control Turn the cooktop on and off, control the power level, and activate the timer at the touch of a button. Knob Controls You can select power settings quickly and intuitively using rotary controls. There is a separate control for each cooking zone, which is very easy to use. HiLight Heat Elements HiLight heater elements create radiant heat with rapid heat-up of approximately three seconds which means that the cooktoop is immediately ready for use. Easy-to-Clean Ceramic Glass Because the cooktop surface remains relatively cool, soiling can be removed easily. Automatic Switch Off If there is no pan on a cooking zone when the cooktop is switched on, or the pan is unsuitable, the power supply will not turn on. Residual Heat Indicator An indicator for each zone shows whether it is still hot to touch and thus ensures optimum operational safety to protect from injury and burns.
Safety Switch Off If a cooking zone is left on over an unusually long peiod of time, it will automatically switch itself off. Program and System Lock Both functions prevent accidental or unauthorized switching on of the cooktop. Useful Information Miele Cooktops - Glossary Auto Heat The Auto Heat function gives an initial boost to the normal power output for faster boiling and then reduces the power automatically for continued cooking, so you don t have to worry about turning it down at the right time, avoiding food burning and also saving energy. Automatic Switch Off If there is no pan on a cooking zone when the cooktop is switched on, or the pan is unsuitable, the power supply will not turn on. Con@ctivity 2.0 Besides switching the ventilation hood on and off, Con@ctivity 2.0 automatically adjusts the hood's suction power according to heat generated from the cooktop below. Easy-to-clean Ceramic Glass Ceramic glass is very easy to clean. Splatters and other types of soiling are easy to remove thanks to the smooth surface. It is particularly easy with induction cooktops as the surface remains relatively cool. Pot Size Recognition Thanks to Miele pot size recognition, Miele Induction cooktops are extremely safe. Within the cooking zone footprint, the size of the pan is recognized and energy is only supplied to this area. Heat is only generated where you need it - in the base of the pot. Program and System Lock By touching the padlock sensor, the functions and power settings are locked to protect against tampering, e.g. by children, and thus an unwanted change of power which could result in a spoiled dish. Alternatively, the cooktop can be disabled altogether to prevent the cooktop being used unintentionally or unauthorized, e.g. by children. PowerFlex PowerFlex technology allows you to combine two cooking zones into one - perfect for particularly large pans or where extra power is required. Residual heat indicator An indicator for each zone shows whether it is still hot to touch and thus ensures optimum operational safety to protect from injury and burns. Safety and system lock The lock function prevents unwanted adjustments to the selected power levels during cooking. The system lock protects from accidental or unauthorized switching on, by children, for example. This function can be activated on a cooktop that is switched off. Individual Settings Basic cooktop settings can be easily adapted to individual needs. For example, the response speed of the sensors can be changed. Keeping Warm Function This function allows you to keep food warm, irrespective of amount. By intelligent monitoring of the temperature of the pan base, food is kept at the exact serving temperature without sticking to the pan, leaving you free to concentrate on the other dishes. Overheating Protection and Fault Monitoring Every cooking zone is equipped with overheating protection. This automatically switches off the heating element of the cooking zone in the case of extreme use before the ceramic glass or other components can overheat. If liquid or another item gets onto the surface by mistake, the cooktop automatically switches off as well. 26
Safety Switch Off A maximum operating duration is defined for each power stage. If a cooking zone is operated for an unusually long time at the same power level, it automatically switches off. Stop & Go With the Stop&Go function, all cooking zones can be reduced to power level 1 at the touch of a single button, allowing you to leave the cooktop unattended for a short time without something burning or boiling over. When you return to the cooktop, the previously set power levels can be reactivated with another touch of a button. Timer The cooktop timer helps you to take some of the stress out of cooking. You can, for example, set a duration for a cooking zone, after which it will switch off automatically, or even use the timer independently of cooktop functions.
