The heart of the V Model is a solid stainless steel ASME stamped pressure vessel which is impervious to the corrosive effects of hot water and provides maximum vessel longevity. Only the highest quality materials and components are used to ensure reliable operation in even the most demanding application. The V Model is ready for immediate installation and service and all electrical operating controls are factory selected, sized and wired. When you specify and install a Hubbell Model V, you will have confidence in knowing the owner will be provided with a trouble-free and long lasting source for hot water. A Rugged And Versatile Process Water Heater

Why Install A Hubbell Industrial Grade Water Heater? 1 Reliability The Hubbell process heater is designed to provide many years of operation. The tank is all stainless steel construction and is designed, constructed and stamped in strict conformance to ASME Section VIII. 2 Lower Operating Costs The Hubbell pressure vessel is encapsulated in environmentally friendly CFC/HCFC free closed cell foam insulation to minimize stand-by heat loss. This high quality insulation reduces heat loss by more than half when compared to fiberglass type insulation. 3 Advanced Construction Provides trouble-free system integration, operation and maintenance. Temperature control is provided by an electronic solid state digital display controller. The controller is fully adjustable from 32-194 F (0-90 C) and includes an adjustable temperature differential. The heater includes an integral low water cut off feature to prevent the heating elements from dry firing and an internal leak detection sensor notifies an operator if water is present in the control cabinet. For further ease of service and maintenance, all controls are mounted such that when a component is removed for service no other component needs to be removed and all sensing functions are integrated into one probe. The heating element and sensing probe are straight thread screw types that utilize an O-ring to minimize leakage problems as is common with flat gaskets and NPT connections. Master Specification: Model V Job Name engineer Representative contractor General Provide a quantity of industrial grade electric water heater(s) Model No. as manufactured by Hubbell Electric Heater Co. of Stratford, CT USA. The heavy duty pressure vessel shall be constructed from Type 304L stainless steel and bear the ASME Section VIII stamp and be rated for 150 psi WP. The tank shall be insulated with CFC/HCFC free closed cell foam insulation to reduce stand by heat loss. Heat loss shall not exceed 425 btu/hr. The heater shall have the capacity to heat GPM from to F and shall be rated at KW when supplied with Volts Ph Hz power. The entire heater package shall be listed and approved in accordance with UL Sanitation (NSF5) and UL 1453. All operating controls shall be built-in and factory wired using high temperature 200 C Teflon coated wire. The heater shall include internal resettable circuit breakers in lieu of one-shot power fuses for over current protection when required. The copper sheathed immersion heating elements with straight thread brass screw plug and O-ring gasket ensure leak free long life service. All temperature, hi-limit, and low water operating functions shall be managed by a fully integrated solid-state electronic controller with digital LED display. The controller shall be fully adjustable from 32-194 F (0-90 C) and operate each heating circuit independently. The controller shall include the ability to be field configured to display F or C, include a 1-20 adjustable temperature differential, and display actual or set point temperature. In the event of operational errors (over temperature, low water, probe failure, leak detection) the display shall provide specific error indication to assist in trouble shooting. The heater shall include a leak detection sensor to provide the operator with visual indication if water is sensed inside the control cabinet. All controls shall operate on 208/240v control circuit. The positioning of the electrical components shall be such that to remove any component does not require the removal of another component. The heater shall be complete with all internal plumbing, including brass NPT connections for inlet, outlet and relief valve. The entire exterior of the heater including the base, jacket and front cover shall be brushed stainless steel. The heater shall include the following accessories shipped loose for installation in the field: an ASME/CSA rated combination temperature and pressure relief valve, 6" adjustable NSF plastic legs and one indicating temperature and pressure gauge.
