Important Safety Instructions. WHEN USING YOUR APPLIANCE, BASIC PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLOWED: Read all the instructions. Use appliance only for its intended use. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids Never pull cord to disconnect from outlet, instead grasp the plug and pull to disconnect. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces, let appliance cool completely before putting away. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord, of if the appliance has been dropped or damaged. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the appliance, take it to a qualified service person for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly or repair could cause a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons when the appliance is used. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected to power source. Burns could occur from touching hot metal parts Be careful!! To reduce the likelihood of circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 20 Amp rated cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat, care should be taken to arrange the cord so that the cord cannot be pulled or tripped over. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE.

Control Panel Digital Display Temp Indicator Set Indicator Time Indicator Increase Button Function Button Mode Button Decrease Button The Press is designed to have two temperatures set, a standby or idle temperature and a pressing temperature. We recommend the Standby temperature is set to just a few degrees below the pressing temperature for the substrate you are sublimating. Set-up Instructions The Cadet Press operating instructions are designed with you in mind. Carefully read and follow the step-by-step instructions for best results. Pay particular attention to the risk of burns which can be sustained by touching the heated platen during use. Keep hands clear from the platens of the press during platen lock down as the pressure can cause injury. Press should be placed on a sturdy suitable stand of at least 60 x 90cms (24 x 36 ). Work area must be kept clean, tidy and free of obstructions to the movements of the heat press. Power supply cord must be disconnected before cleaning or servicing the press.

Connect the Power Cord Connect the power cord into a properly grounded (earthed) electrical outlet with sufficient amperage rating. Your Cadet Press requires a full 5.5 amp grounded circuit for 230 Volt operations. Extension Cords, if used should be as short as possible and not less than 12 gauge. Heavy duty cords are recommended. Circuits that have under 15 amps or other high demand equipment or appliances (especially more than one heat seal machine) should not be used. NOTE: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the supplier or a similar qualified person in order to avoid any hazards. Operating Instructions Set appropriate pressure using the Pressure Adjustment Knob, located on top of Heat Press. Ensuring the power line is securely in, and Switch the heat press ON.

LED Digital Display Temp Indicator Set Indicator Time Indicator Increase Button Function Button Mode Button Mode Button press once Set LED illuminates Use + ( ) or ( ) buttons to set standby (idle) temperature. Push Mode button again TEMP and SET LED are illuminated together Use + ( ) or ( ) buttons to set Pressing temperature Push Mode button again to set Time SET & TIME LED are illuminated together Use + ( ) or ( ) buttons to set the Pressing time. Finally push Mode button again All illuminated LED lights go out and current measured temperature is displayed. NOTE: We recommend the Standby (Idle) temperature is set just a few degrees below your pressing temperature. If the machine will not allow a standby temperature to be set as high as you require, then set your pressing temperature and then go back to the idle temperature to increase it.

When up to temperature use the handles on the Heat Press to swing-away heated platen. Place substrate and printed image on silicon base, and then swing-back heated platen using the top plastic handle not the metal carry handles which will be hot. Use top handle to lower heat platen then push the square Function Button. The machine will now raise the temperature to the pressing temperature you have set before the timer counts down. At the end of the pressing cycle a buzzer will sound. Push the Square Function button on the display again to disable the buzzer. Use the top plastic handle again to swing-away the heated platen and remove your work, not the metal carry handles as they will be hot. Always take great care when removing substrate as it will be very hot. PLEASE NOTE: As above you can set the standby (idle) temperature to a few degrees below your pressing temperature. If the item you are sublimating is particularly cool, it could take a little while for the temperature to reach the pressing temperature before the timer counts down. This could result in a pressing time that is too long. If this occurs, remove the item from the press before the pressing time is fully complete.
