If you seethe flame getting lazy,very high and orange,itmaybeasignthatthereissomethingwrong.usually,overheatingissuesarecausedby toomuchrestrictionintheventingsystem,ablockedheatexchanger,alackofcombustionairora lackofmaintenance. Firewithnotenoughair If the flame pattern is tall, lazy and orange with black smoky tips it is generally a result of insufficient air flow through the system. The possiblecausesareeitheralackofoxygentothe fire, high moisture content pellet, obstructed channel or vent. Thermostatlocation Location of the thermostat is very important to obtain comfort and efficiency from your stove. Locatethethermostat4to5feetabovetheoorinaccordancewithapplicablebuildingcodes. Install the thermostat in a location that provides good airow characteristics and avoid areas behinddoors,nearcorners,airvents,directsunlightorheatgeneratingdevices.itshouldalsobe locatedatleast15to20feetfromthestove.topreventcycling,youshouldavoidinstallingthe thermostatonapoorlyinsulatedoutsidewallordirectlyinfrontofthestove.
