A feature wall can be a very dramatically affordable way of changing the look and feel of a room. CHOOSING YOUR WALLPAPER 1. Have a detailed look at the room you plan to wallpaper before you start designing. Are there any features you could pick up on for example could you match the color of your sofas to a design feature on the wallpaper? 2. A feature wall just one wall papered can be a very cost-effective way of dramatically changing the look and feel of any room. Paint the surrounding walls a color in the wallpaper pattern to tie the whole room together. 3. Wallpaper with a busy pattern usually looks best in a minimally or neutrally designed room. 4. Bright colors and small patterns open up small rooms and make them seem larger. 5. Rooms that get little natural light look better with warm tones instead of cool ones. 6.
