About ISOCARP ISOCARP - International Society of City and Regional Planners Founded in 1965, ISOCARP is a global nonprofit association of experienced professionals from academia, governmental organisations, and private consultancies. Highly-qualified urban and regional planners from various sectors aim at mutual cooperation and world-wide networking in order to facilitate the improvement of our cities and territories through research, planning practice, education, and training. ISOCARP is officially recognised by the Council of Europe, UNESCO, UN-Habitat, and United Nations.

Our Programme Young Planning Professionals Programme YPP Established in 1991 through the partnership with UNESCO, YPP programme aims at providing young and ambitious planning professionals with an opportunity to learn and work in a multi-cultural setting and share their experiences. Urban Planning Advisory Teams UPATs Through the UPATs, ISOCARP members are mobilised for singular urban initiatives with international relevance. During the one-week workshop, the UPAT team - comprising both experienced and young planners - seeks to provide the cutting-edge solutions to the current spatial problems. Get connected! Our Programme Awards Awards for Excellence The ISOCARP Awards for Excellence are conferred in recognition of exceptionally innovative urban and regional projects. Gerd Albers Award The award is given for the best ISOCARP members publications - books, chapters, journal articles, and project reports. Routledge Poster Prize Poster Exhibition sponsored by the Routledge is aimed at stimulating young planners and their creative and imaginative work. Student Award The Student Award is addressed to a students with outstanding results in a related field to urban and regional planning.

Publications ISOCARP Review is considered a flagship of ISOCARP series of thematic publications. It complements the research efforts prepared for the annual ISOCARP Congress.
