The electrical heater s model and serial number is located on the label of the product. Improper use of this heater can result in serious bodily injury due to hazards of fire and explosion, burn and electrical shock. Use only with electrical voltage and frequency specified on model label. Do not perform any service with heater plugged in. Serious injury or death may occur if personnel come in contact with high voltage lead. Parts of the heater become very hot when operating and immediately after operating. Severe burns may occur if the heater is not allowed to cool down properly before servicing. All products are packed by producer for normal transporting conditions. For unloading and storing use proper lifter to prevent product damage and employees injuries. Do not lift product by power supply cable, connection box. Avoid impacts and impact loads. Until final installation store products in dry place with humidity not more 70% (20 C), average ambient temperature must be 5-40 C. Storing place must be covered from water and dirt. Avoid long term storing. It is not recommended to store products more then 1 (one) year. Inspect heater for any possible shipping damage. Inspect heater element wire for any deformation that could cause a short circuit or ground. Make sure that casing of the heater is not damaged. No special service is required for electrical heaters, only to check electrical connection not less then 1 time per year. We care about quality. 100% of heaters are tested before shipment. First Numeral Protection against contact and ingress of foreign bodies: most wires, screws, etc. Second Numeral Protection against water: water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect. Heaters type EKA, EKA NI, NIS protection rating is IP44. Heaters type EKA NV, EKA NV PTC/PS, EKA NV PH protection rating is IP30. Thank you for your purchase of this product. This manual describes how to use and install the supplied product. Be sure that you have read and understood its contents before using the heater. 3

To ensure long service time and quality heating we use heating elements from stainless steel. In one-phase (1x230 V) heaters EKA are installed one-phase (1x230 V) heating elements of following power: 0.3 kw, 0.6 kw, 1.0 kw, 1.2 kw. Duct heaters are designed to heat clean air in ventilation systems and to preheat air handling units. Corrosion resistant casing with excellent thermal reflectivity is made from AluZinc. Duct connection is with rolled rubber seals, duct heater elements are made from stainless steel. To ensure safety in duct heaters are installed 2 protection thermostats and screw terminals for easy connection. Heaters casings are produced from AluZinc coated steel and heating elements from stainless steel AISI 304. AluZinc casing was selected because for its properties: Good corrosion resistance at high temperatures (up to 315 C) Excellent thermal reflectivity Good abrasion resistance because of its surface hardness Durability: under normal conditions the AZ 150 coating grade will protect the steel substrate from corrosion for a minimum period of 15 years. To ensure security in case of fire in all electric air heaters 2 heat protection thermostats are installed: First overheat protection automatically activates if temperature reaches 50 C, then protection disconnects heating elements, until it has cooled. When the temperature falls to the working temperature, heater automatically switches on. Second overheat protection automatically activates if temperature reaches 100 C, then protection disconnects heating elements, until it has cooled. In this case need to figure the cause of the overheating of the heater. Heater needs to be reset manually with the pushbutton on the heaters casing. For easy duct connection heaters casing is with rolled rubber seals. Standard circular duct heaters type EKA has no internal controller, in this case can be used external heating controllers EKR 15.1, EKR 15.1P, EKR 30, EKR 30P and temperature TJK 10 K. Controllers and are not included in the package of product. Regulator controls load by triacs without moving parts, which causes no-noise commutation. Following models of heaters are with internals controllers, and there are differences between them: Type NV - you can set temperature of heater with potentiometer installed on heaters casing. Type NI - you can set temperature from distance with wired remote potentiometer TR5K Type NIS heater control from distance with 0 10V signal. Type PTC heater with installed air flow. Type PS heater with installed pressure Type NV PTC/PS or NV PH heater with installed air flow and pressure. Heaters with built-in controls comes with temperature duct in the package of the product (except type EKA NIS). The duct heaters are designed for a minimum air velocity of 1,5 m/s. If the air flow is lower than 1.5 m/s it can often be activated overheat protection. Remote control with wired potentiometer, default temperature setpoint 0 C... +30 C In heaters type NV PTC/PS are installed controllers with default temperature setpoint -10 C... +50 C, on your needs we can install controllers with different temperature setpoints: -40 C till -10 C 0 C till +30 C -5 C till 0 C -20 C till -5 C -10 C till 0 C - Please inform about needed temperature setpoint before production, othervise heater will be produced with factory default setpoint.
